2003-09-16 - I was just recently deployed to al muhmadiyah, iraq where we had access to satellite tv. i used to watch the video all the time because the beat is so catchy compared to the us version which i saw the video a couple of days ago online. the videos are somewhat alike but the beat is so different, in my opinion, sounds better than the album version. she is an awesome performer. i usually don't listen to rap but when i heard this song its like a new undiscovered teritory

2003-06-17 - mr cheeks should have rapped some more but if you're into kim talking about sex you know what to do.

Expect The Unexpected
2003-06-17 - The Jump Off can complete any fan of the beats in this song's need for more. It has the original version that you hear on the album. The Tomekk Remix sounds great with adding a strange beat to the bachground. The words are the same, but the background music will blow you away. The 7Gemini Remix starts out with a guitar sound, and moves into an awesome beat. Last, but not least of the four, the Nappy Doggout Remix sounds more like you would expect a remix of the Jump Off to sound like. It has a much more hip-hop sound than the other mixes, but still incorporates sounds from various genres into one remix with vocals from ODG, sounds great. Believe me, I was shocked when I heard tracks 2 and 3. They sound nothing like you'd expect a remix of this great song to sound like. And of course, the enhanced video. The reason I love the video for the Jump Off so much is because in it, Lil' Kim looks happy and fun to be around, while she normally looks angry and "above you". There's not a scene where she isn't smiling. Combining these very different remixers onto this one CD was smart on Lil' Kim's behalf. A great buy for any fan of The Jump Off.

Another Lil' Kim hit!
2003-05-23 - This song is the best, I love it. It's definally a great summer jam that everyone will love. The video is also hot, so this single will not disapoint.

Good but It has been done before
2003-05-21 - The Jump Off is a good song to show that Lil Kim is back and it works well. In the beginning you can tell you are going to love the song with the up beat music and Lil Kim rapping that she is back. Timberland produced the track, one of the world's best producers which is why I was so surprised with the chorus. It is the same as Missy Elliot's get your freak on! With the asian style music you can identify it straight away.
Like Missy's songs this song will stick with you which is what makes it a good song and with out Missy doing it first it would be a fresh song but it just sounds the same. The rest of the song boosts it with the great "get up and dance" music.
It says it feature Mr Cheeks but apart from saying stuff at the end it is hardly worth him being there or I am missing him?
Good song but there are better songs on her album La Belle Mafia but it shows that Lil Kim is one of the hottest rappers of the moment.
