Lights Out Reviews:
poor shipment
2008-08-26 - This item is exactly as i ordered it. but it took forever to make it to my house. i had to reorder this item because it got lost some how. i was more upset at the fact that amazon only refunded me for a portion of my purchase and did not give me any reason as to why my package was "undeliverable". i was not pleased with this process at all.
Modest
2008-06-12 - The sophomore album from Lil Wayne finds the youngest Hot Boy taking things a little more seriously than he did the first time round. Granted, there is no thematic consistency to this album, both the lyrics and production are considerably tighter. Part of what gives the album its charm is Wayne's awareness-both of his society and of his own responsibilities. "Grown Man" and "Wish you Would" are surprisingly mature tracks, the like of which were sadly missing on Tha Block is Hot.
Still, it is hard to ignore the fact that Lil Wayne and his associates have made a resoundingly safe album. Whereas B.G. opted for a grittier sound on his album Checkmate(released simultaneously), Lil Wayne doesn't seem to have quite enough confidence in his ability to carry an album. Thus, there are plenty of appearances from the Hot Boys and Big Tymers, and as such, the album fails to make the same impression that Wayne would later on with his Carter albums.
Extremely Whack it's Whackdiculious
2008-05-23 - He needs Christ in His life instead of making music that benefits no one but him. He needs real freedom in Christ and maybe he could leave a real legacy. People who will make a difference in the black community. Otherwise he'll be used of the evil one and simply an industry puppet.

Second time's the charm
2006-09-19 - When I first heard Lil Wayne's first album The Block Is Hot, I didnt feel it. The beats were horrendous and the guest appearances were just as bad. On this album Lil Wayne did a 360 and his raps got a lot stronger. Not onlt that but Mannie Fresh's beats sound way better on here plus the guest appearances are not a bad touch. Standout Tracks: GET OFF THE CORNER(Crazy first single), ON THE GRIND, HIT U UP, F*** WIT ME NOW, LIL ONE, WISH YOU WOULD, GROWN MAN, JUMP JIGGY, REALIZED, THA BLUES, LET'S GO and BEEF(dope song to end aN album with). Filler: Shine(cheesy second single), Biznite(funny but still stupid), Act A A**(boring, sounds like circus music). Bottom Line: Lights Out is Lil Wayne's best album. Better production, tighter rhyhmes from Lil Wayne and the guest appearances didnt bring this album down.

This album is just as good as debut. Productions solid for the most part and Wayne knows how to spit those hot 16's. Check it out if your a fan of Lil Wayne, Cash Money Records or The Hot Boys.
