Like Father, Like Son Reviews:
4.5 stars 5 Star Review
2007-03-02 - Yeah this album's a lot better than I expected. Wayne's been crankin' em out so fast lately, you would think he'd be gettin' sloppy....but "Like Father, Like Son" doesn't disappoint. Nice production, weezy's signature word play, check it out

Mediocrity runs in the family 3 Star Review
2006-11-22 - Since Juvenile, B.G. and Turk left Cash Money most people thought it would be over for the record label. Lil Wayne was able to keep the label afloat by himself with his three albums. If you think this album is going just because of Lil Wayne alone then you're wrong. You keep forgetting one factor: BIRDMAN CANT RAP!!! He has no personality on the mic and his repetitive rhymes make listening to this album a pain in the a**. Over Here Hustlin is a misstep do to the wack rhymes both Wayne and Birdman. Things start to pick up with dope tracks like "Like Father Like Son","You Aint Know", "Dont Die", "Aint Worried Bout S***", "Army Gunz"(Lil Wayne's fire solo) and About All That feat Fat Joe. The album nosedives in to wackness after that. Stuntin Like My Daddy is pure garbage. 1st Key is pathetic because all they do is use Pimp C's rhymes from Pocket Full Of Stones to finish each rhyme. Leather So Soft is flat out boring and has the dumbest sample of Jodeci's Feenin that you'll ever hear. More pain and suffering would show up in the form of Know What Im Doing(feat T-Painful and Rick Ross), Get That Money, Out The Pound and Cali Dro feat the ever so wack Dogg Pound. No More feat Allstar Cashville Prince has a weak subliminal thrown at the former Cash Money members but the song is so bad you wont even care to find it. High sounds like Birdman and Lil Wayne were just that when they did that track. Also another thing that makes this album more irritating are the pointless skits which consists of some guy doing his worst Soprano impression. Bottom Line: Like Father, Like Son is one of the worst albums to come out of Cash Money in a while. Anytime Lil Wayne is the only one who holds up a collaboration album it's a problem. Then you have to deal with the limited subject matter and the repetive beats and the fact that BIRDMAN CANT RAP!!! This should have never been attempted and the fact that it came and went shows you how well it was recieved. Cop it to complete your Cash Money collection if nothing else. Standout Tracks: LIKE FATHER LIKE SON, YOU AINT KNOW, AINT WORRIED BOUT S***, DONT DIE, ARMY GUNZ and ABOUT ALL THAT.

Hotter Than A Firecracker!! 5 Star Review
2006-11-04 - This is the hottest cd going. The lyrics are super tight and even Birdman is rappin' pretty decent. Lil Wayne has arrived. He is definitely one of the top three rappers out there. If you want to hear great lyrics and hot beats, cop this quick but caution to the buyer: Wear mittens because this cd is HOT!!

Remember the old cashmoney days? 4 Star Review
2006-11-03 - Really 4.5 stars. Do you remember the days of ol' where juve was on fire turk was out of jail and lil wayne was walking in BG's shows? If your a old cashmoney fan...I mean when they had the gold chains and 400 deegreez was just coming out...you will love this CD....Now when Weezy says he's the best rapper alive your average rap fan will not understand what he's saying. for the amateurs dig through the past cashmoney albums and see how he has progressed to become what he is now, then tell me he cant be considered at least in the top 3. And most of all Weezy has yet to sell out and resort to pop music like to many supposed to be gangsta rappers (50 cent). Lyrically Weezy can't be touched. "the first time I got high I had 2 "O"'s like Ohio"...Just a taste of what you'll get if you but this album. That early no limit, early cashmoney, early ghetto boys, southern, slow, heavy bass havin', gangsta rap. Truly a thing of beauty...if you look at it from a hip hop point of view.

On fire once again 5 Star Review
2006-11-02 - The Birdman and Lil Wayne did it again. They give it to you real in this album. Lil Wayne spits fire on all the tracks just like usual. Pick this album up and you will not be disappointed. Keep thuggin in the N.O. and Baton Rouge!
