Description of Gotcha!:
Before he started losing his hair (which gave his baby face the maturity it needed for him to be taken seriously as a doctor on E.R.), Anthony Edwards was the quintessential juvenile lead, college division. That is what he plays here: a college kid who is campus champ at an assassination game called Gotcha (that uses fake guns). Then he goes on a summer vacation behind the Iron Curtain (before it came tumbling down) and falls for a female operative (Linda Fiorentino), who not only uses him as an unsuspecting courier for spy stuff but makes him a fall guy, as well. When he finally extricates himself from the trouble, the trouble follows him back to campus. Silly and far-fetched, though Edwards has that wounded-puppy look down perfectly. --Marshall Fine

2009-08-05 - I loved the movie when I was younger back in the 80's. I feel it is a great movie to watch at anytime. I enjoyed watching both Anthony Edwards and Linda Florentino. Both are great actors.

2009-03-19 - A classic 80's film with Anthony Edwards (When he had hair LOL!). Also in the film was a young and still beautiful Linda Fiorentino (Jade, Men In Black)

2009-02-06 - when it was first released, gotcha was just a fun, funny movie and on into my more mature years it still appeals.

2009-01-20 - Wow, talk about a flashback. This was a great movie, and certainly personified the culture and politics "back in the day". However, I am still waiting for T.A.G.:The Assassination Game, the other campus thriller based on a similar game in Gotcha!, to be released. If anything, just to have the music theme from T.A.G.
