Editorial Review:
NOT AVAILABLE IN NORTH AMERICA! Freckle-faced, auburn-haired Lindsay Lohan began her career as a model for the Ford Academy at age three, and appeared in more than sixty commercials, and was a regular on soap operas. In 2004, Lindsay signed a recording contract with Casablanca Records, headed by well-known "diva-maker" Tommy Mottola. Her debut album 'Speak' reached #4 on the US Billboard 200. Her second album, 'A Little More Personal (Raw)', features the first single 'Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)', the emotional video was directed by Lohan, and features her sister Ali.
Confessions of a Broken Heart Reviews:
What's that I hear.......
2009-11-02 - It's the music industry scraping at the bottom of the barrel. What's with actors these days that they "have" to sing? Lindsay should just stop music altogether. This is not even considered music, more like torture. Don't get me wrong, she has a lot of talent. But her talent is acting not singing.
Sincere, but flawed
2006-11-29 - On her second album, "A Little More Personal (RAW)", Lindsay Lohan promises to explicitly deliver her feelings and let her emotions flood on the page. She does that, and it is most evident in the first single, "Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter To Father)", which is a protest against her absent father whose ups and downs with the law have been carefully monitored by the tabloids. It is a decent song, but not quite perfect - way too repetitive and a little self-concious. It's all "Strum und Drang", but it gets old after a few times you listen to it. The reason I gave it three stars is that it's one of the weakest tracks on the fantastic album. Bottom line, my suggestion is to skip this one and proceed to the 5-star album "A Little More Personal (RAW)".
Sad
2006-07-10 - I love this song, but it's really sad, but she does belt it out! I like that, but I cry every time I hear. I still like the song though.
Amazing Single
2006-02-14 - I bought this single a week ago before it became available in 8 weeks and I've just received it. And l loved it! It has a very great remix, and the video is amazing, it makes me cry everytime I see it. The presentation is also cool it comes in a slim case with Back to school stickers. I first thought they all were from Lindsay ut it's only one from her, the others are from Sugababes (who are they??) and daddy yankee!!!!!!!! oh my God he's the worst "singer" l've ever heard, his songs, at least here in Mexico, are over rated, over played, and they sucks. Also the rythm is the same in all of his songs. Well but he's not worth of a writing also.
Returning, this is a very worth buy and a must have for her fans. Dont hesitate and buy it!
Collectable Single
2006-02-08 - Firstly, what can you say about the power of this song to begin with. It will take it's place as a strong effort about something in life that needs to be explored this directly in music. The remix of this track is the first actually great remix I've heard of a Lindsay Lohan song.Five stars for the remix alone. Having the very potent video on here is also part of this being a must to collect. "My innocence" is a strong additional track. All in all a gem of a single. Once again the Australians show how innovative they are in the arena of cd singles.
