A 'mash-up' of Linkin Park's Hit Single 'numb' and Jay-z's 'encore', "Numb/Encore" is the First Single from Linkin Park and Jay-z's Musical Masterpiece 'collision Course', One of the Very First Releases in the MTV Ultimate Mash-ups Series.

Numb/Encore Reviews:
A horrible move for Linkin Park 1 Star Review
2006-03-09 - Numb was a really good Linkin Park song until this Jay-Z mix came and brutally murdered it. Jay-Z is one of the worst rappers out there (I hate all rap, but he really rots) and the touch he brings to this song is equivalent to nails on a chalkboard. This song didn't belong in the Top 40 at all! Numb without Jay-Z did, though. Get Meteora and never get this single.

numb/encore 5 Star Review
2005-10-25 - You know, there's a reason that Linkin Park and Jay-Z decided to put "Numb" in front of "Encore" in the song title, and that's because "Numb" is the main song and "Encore" is the, well, encore to Jay-Z's hit. That is the main reason why these two songs work so well together. Combining Chester's heavenly voice with Jay-Z's smooth rap, this is undoubtedly the best song on "Collision Course".
Overall rating: 100/5

Numb / Encore is the best LPJZ song 5 Star Review
2005-07-29 - Ha ha ha... funny, saying Numb ruins Encore and Encore ruins Numb... I disagree. This song was the best in Collision Course, and it's best here, too. The album version brings in Encore, from The Black Album (a nice round-up song) with Numb, from Meteora (the conclusion to Meteora). It shows how these two songs are pulled out to connect into one of the best songs I've ever heard.

The instrumental version describes how you can actually make an original background music instead of simply attaching a Numb background music. Compare Numb and Numb / Encore; you'll see the difference in the music. Numb has the special touch (listen and you'll know) only in the beginning and end, but Numb / Encore has it in all chorus parts.

Another Good Rap/Rock Album... 4 Star Review
2005-03-13 - This is one of those rare moments where rap music and rock combine. I expected most people to flip out because (most) ghetto people hate rock and goth/punk people and (most) punk/goth people hate rap and ghetto people. My brother loves this CD, and is begining to like Linkin Park. I personally love this album also, especially "Jigga What/Faint". I recommend this if you like Linkin Park, Jay-Z, or both.

come on... 5 Star Review
2005-03-11 - Firstly I would like to state that Linkin park is not Nu-metal, they are alt. rock. Second Jay-z is great and so is LP and if I didn't like either, I wouldn't go about being a jerk and insulting one. This is great because it may make somone who only likes jay-z or LP think, hey, rap is not that bad, or rock is not that bad. And it is really original. I believe the cd collison course was great, and this is a good single.
