Editorial Review:
Whoever said absence makes the heart grow fonder must ve been thinking about the relationship between Lita Ford and rock n roll. The hard rock queen stepped away from her remarkable musical career back in the 1990s to devote herself to family and the surroundings of real life on a surreal Caribbean island, but with the call of the sonic wild getting louder and louder, she made the decision to dive back in at the deep end only to find that she had every bit as much love for the heavy rock grind. And as it turns out, the feeling is mutual.

With Wicked Wonderland , her first full-length offering since 1995 s Black , Lita shows that her flair for sexy, stomping, searing sounds has only gotten more vivid which is mighty impressive, given a history that includes such classics as Kiss Me Deadly and the Ozzy Osbourne duet Close My Eyes Forever. This release, created in tandem with husband Jim Gillette whose own musical history is highlighted by his work with acclaimed metallurgists Nitro is a hard and heavy affirmation of the sensuality and smarts that ve carried her through three decades of action.
The 15 cuts certainly touch on the sort of headbang-inducing riffage that gave Lita her start way back when, but there are also surprises aplenty from the smoking slide guitar that punctuates the bluesy Scream to the psychedelic industrial swirl that envelops Everything. It s a potent blend, propelled by in-your-face drumming and Lita s effortlessly steamy vocals.
With pelvis-pounding rhythms and lascivious lyrics of tunes like the appropriately-titled Indulge and the so-nasty-it s-nice Crave , Lita shows off her trademark ability to purr seductively and deliver a well-placed knockout punch on no-holds-barred songs like Piece (Hell Yeah) . Wicked Wonderland showcases an artist who s clearly got plenty to say and no shortage of ways to say it.
The initial pressing of 25 000 contains two bonus tracks!

Wicked Wonderland Reviews:
LITA MANIA 5 Star Review
2009-11-09 - My Queen is back and better than ever!
I've idolized Lita since I was 15 years old.
I've been dying for her to return and she finally has with WICKED WONDERLAND!
I've had it for 2 weeks now and I swear that each time I listen to it I love it a little more.
The songs really grab you then they continue to grow on you.
Her guitar playing is still smoking hot and her voice is awesome!
She sounds so young.
Her husband is doing a lot of singing with her and I love it.
It's very sexy having his voice in there.
This is my favorite album from my favorite legend.
LITA RULES!

Lita Ford is Back and she brought Metal with her! 5 Star Review
2009-11-08 - It has been over a decade since the Queen of Hard Rock/Metal graced her fans with a new album. Wicked Wonderland, not only delivers. It kicks the door down!

It is an album that is not just musically en pointe. There is a distinct hint of joy and connubial bliss in her lyrics. This is definitely a happy woman!
In turn her fans who have been buying this CD in droves have felt it too!

It is a great album! Welcome Back LITA!!!!!

Thank you! 5 Star Review
2009-11-08 - Thank you Lita for coming back.
Thank you for making such an incredible album.
Thank you for your guitar playing.
Thank you.
5 stars is not enough!
Wicked Wonderland is far beyond that.
All the songs rock hard.
Your voice still sounds amazing.
Your guitar playing is bad ass!
HELL YEAH!

What a wreck 2 Star Review
2009-11-07 - The 5 star ratings for this record are rediculous. There are 112 reviewers for this album at this time, which is probably how many albums have sold. My guess is they are all kissing a** to cash in on the free give away at Litas website. If you like the hot, rocking but poppy Lita from the 80's, this dosen't come close. If you like the more refined, beautiful but heavy music of hers from the 90's- this is WAAAAY off. I don't even know where to begin with this album, other than saying that most of these songs sound the same. By far her heaviest record, but there is no melody at all. It actually sounds quite industrial. It sounds like there are about 40 instruments or sound effects going at the same time, ruining whatever musicianship could be lost in the mix. I'm really not sure why Lita made this album. The lyrics are sexual (which is fine), but it is basically a duet with her husband Jim Gillette who sings on all or most of the tracks (can't remember). His voice is (trying to be polite) not real cool on this record. I'm sure Lita and Jim are very proud of what they have created, but ultimately (and commercially) this is not going to cut it. The album artwork is very cool, and it looks like alot of thought, time and money went into it, but it just seems like a cash grab tactic, especially with the nude art (not Lita). If you want to please your real fans, think of the sound of "Lita" "Dangerous Curves" and "Black". A grown up sound similar to new Vixen would do well for you. I give two stars for the artwork, and for a killer guitar solo that closes out a terrible song on the back end of the record (can't remember which song- don't care!)Crave is probably the best song, but I don't care if I ever hear it again.

Alive and kicking! 5 Star Review
2009-11-07 - This is Lita's best work yet!
Everything about Wicked Wonderland is spectacular.
This should get her the Grammy she deserves!
Long live the Queen.
