Editorial Review:
The title track produced by Madonna and Mirwais Ahmadazai from the 2002 release of the coolest James Bond movie yet. Strings arranged by Michael Colombier. Mixed by Mark 'Spike' Stent. This single features the Radio Edit of 'Die Another Day' & 5 mixes (Dirty Vegas Main Mix, Thee RetroLectro Mix, Thunderpuss Club Mix, Deepsky Remix & Brother Brown's Bond-Age Club). Maverick. 2002.

Die Another Day Pt. 1 Reviews:
WRONG TRACKLIST 4 Star Review
2008-06-17 - The tracklist of this 12" is the following FOR BOTH US AND UK ISSUES :

1. Die Another Day - Dirty Vegas Main Mix 10:08
2. Die Another Day - Thunderpuss Mix 9.25
3. Die Another Day - Thee RetroLectro Mix - Felix Da Housecat 6:59
4. Die Another Day - Deepsky Remix 7:27
5. Die Another Day - Dirty Vegas Dub 9:10

Therefore the Brother Brown Remix (and the radio version) are NOT included. On vinyl format, The BB mix is only available on the rare part II promo 12", dub mix included - good luck with that :o)

This is an OK single, but it could've been better 3 Star Review
2007-11-14 - "Die Another Day," produced by Madonna and Mirwais, is the theme for the James Bond film of the same name. However, this is not a "typical" Bond theme. The "Radio Edit" is a shortened verison of the song. This is a great dance track, but I don't entirely like how the vocoder was used. But the strings add a nice touch.

The "Dirty Vegas Main Mix" is the longest mix. The main body of the mix is pretty good; however, it takes too long to start, and too long to end. I would have liked it better if it was shorter.

Felix Da Housecat mixed "Thee RetroLectro Mix." The music in the mix doesn't change much, and it becomes annoying. Vocally, the mix focuses on the chorus (and the verse vocals that appear are over-processed). The mix also feels like it takes too long to end.

The "Thunderpuss Club Mix" gets stuck in a groove, and never really varies. The stuttering of the vocals and the repeating vocals become annoying. The ending of the mix is repetitive, making the mix feel lengthy. This mix would have been stronger if it was shorter and didn't overuse its elements.

The "Deepsky Remix" is the best mix, and feels like it's two minutes shorter than it actually is. Madonna's vocals are processed, but they are listenable. Of all the mixes, this one utilizes a lot from the original (most notably, the strings).

"Brother Brown's Bond-Age Club," mixed by Henrik Olsen and Atle Thorberg, is the most boring. Musically and vocally, nothing stands out (which is enhanced by the mix's length). The mix is repetitive, and takes too long to end.

I would recommend this single to die-hard Madonna fans. However, for the casual fan, I would recommend the Die Another Day soundtrack.

Love it! 5 Star Review
2007-10-10 - These mixes are all good, but the best mix is the eleven minute mix by Dirty Vegas.

Madonna's Unrecognized 007 Song 5 Star Review
2007-02-05 - This song now sounds much better after hearing Chris Cornell's CASINO ROYALE. You can now see the direction this song intended to take the film. Madonna's DIE ANOTHER DAY attempts to depict a much tougher James Bond. The song was really misunderstood at the time of its release. It should become a classic. The Dirty Vegas Main Mix is ok.

Madonna's 007 Song Better Over Time 4 Star Review
2006-12-09 - This song was probably ahead of its time as far as the James Bond films are concerned. It always worked behind the DIE ANOTHER DAY main titles but now can hold itself on its own. There is no real edge to this song but it does reflect a definite self assuredness of the James Bond character.
