Don't Cry for Me Argentina Reviews:
No reason for tears.
2006-09-29 - This cd single is very,very good.
The first 3 songs being the best.
If you are a Madonna fan, and don't have this, try to find and buy this, as it is a great addition to any fans collection.
Collector's Heaven
2004-07-14 - To most of you out there who are Madonna fans, the following won't really mean anything to you. But to those of you out there who are collectors, you know why this CD is such a great buy.
From all the releases of this single (world-wide) this version is the only one (except for promo versions) where fans can get the following mixes:
* Miami Mix Alternate Ending
* Miami Spanglish Mix
Most countries only released 4 track versions of the above single with the edits and/or album version available.
I think these mixes are great, not only from a production point of view but also from an emotional one. Everyone expected this to be a single from the start of Madonna's involvement in the film, but what nobody saw coming was that dance mixes would be made.
In all, for serious collectors out there: A MUST HAVE.
DCFMA Remixes
2003-02-02 - If you've heard the remix on the radio and are wondering what exactly you're getting on this CD, here's a rundown:
1. Miami Mix Alternate Ending: This is the foundational remix, or in other words, the remix to which all other remixes on this CD are based on. It is called Alternate Ending because they added an additional part at the end.
2. Miami Spanglish Mix:The same as the first mix except the choruses are sung in spanish and it does not have the alternate ending so it's a bit shorter.
3. Miami Mix Edit: The radio edit of the first mix.
4. Miami Dub Mix: This is the only one that sounds remotely different from the rest, it's slightly more of a house mix, more keyboards, but still has the latin influence.
5. Miami Instrumental: Exactly what it says it is
6. Miami Spanglish edit: The short version of remix #2
So, overall, this is a maxi single based on 1 remix, i think they should have included more variety..however the remix version is nice so it's still worth it. If you can find them, check out the remixes for Buenos Aires, also done by Pablo Flores (but promo-only).
Madonna does a great job
2002-09-06 - too bad all of the tracks have the same music just performed alittle differently still the original dance mix is great.
No Need to Cry for Madonna!
2001-11-01 - I LOVE Madonna, and recently I have been gathering all of her singles in order to complete my collection. Many are good, a few are not worth the effort to insert them into your player. This, however, is a great album. It is lacking in variety, but the tracks put such a great spin on the emotional Evita classic. It is great fun, and sure to get you on your feet! Buy this CD and have some fun!
