Don't Tell Me, Pt. 1 Track Listing:
1. Don't Tell Me [Radio Edit]
2. Don't Tell Me [Cyber-Raga]
3. Don't Tell Me [Thunderpuss Club Mix]
Editorial Review:
The second single from Madonna's 2000 album that debuted at #1 with a bullet on Billboard's top 200 albums chart. Currently there is no domestic parallel. Tracks, 'Don't Tell Me' (Radio Edit, Thunderpuss ClubMix, Vission Remix) and the non-LP track 'Cyber-Raga'. Slimline jewel case.
Don't Tell Me, Pt. 1 Reviews:
It's okay
2007-02-14 - 1. Don't Tell Me [Radio Edit] - I really like this song. I like how it cuts out her voice quickly every now and then. Nice lyrics as well. 9/10
2. Cyber-Raga - sounds a bit like something off her "Ray Of Light" album. Not great, okay. 6.5/10
3. Thunderpuss Club Mix - good remix but I like the shortened version better. I hate waiting forever for the singing to begin. 7/10
4. Don't Tell Me [Vission Remix] - now what the heck was this remixer thinking? This sounds horrible. 3/10
Cyber-Raga Rocks!
2006-06-15 - I admit;I've gotten Madonna singles just for specific songs.I'm picky that way.
"Cyber-Raga",Madonna's collaboration with Asian Underground genius Talvin Singh,is featured on a Starbucks compilation that is no longer in print.Curious,I got this single.
Like "Shanti/Ashtangi","Cyber-Raga" is one of Madonna's successful, albeit rare, forays into bhangra&Indian music. This album is worth it for "Cyber-Raga" ALONE!
confused by the 'Pt.4'????
2004-12-21 - If you are, i'm amusing this is how it works (the following). The UK Pt.1 & 2, ofcourse. Then, i'm amusing Pt.3 is one of the Aussie singles and this Japan import is Pt.4. There are 4 mixes on here including all the mixes from UK pt.1 plus the popular remix by Vission. Not the best CD but to have all the remixes of Don't Tell Me, you need to have a total of 4 CDs.
(All Don't Tell Me singles).
1. UK Pt. 1
2. UK Pt. 2
3. US Maxi / 12" CD
4. Aussie CD
If you purchase all 4 of these, you will also end up with 2 enhanced videos. The 'Music' and 'Don't Tell Me' videos. The Music one, can be found on the aussie CD and the other can be found on the US Maxi / 12" CD. So all there is left to say is that you don't need this Japan import, but if you buy all 4 CD Singles for Don't Tell Me, you could be a proud owner of all the Don't Tell Me remixes!! Get them now - they're very nice items!!
The 'Don't Tell Me' singles are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Perfection
2004-03-17 - Tracklist :
1-Radio Version (4:10)
2-Cyber-Raga (5:31)
3-Thunderpuss Club Mix (7:53)
When it comes to this song I'm a total freak. This is the best song from the "Music" album. The Don't Tell Me singles are the best Madonna singles ever. The cover picture is exquisitely cool and funny, and full of colors. And the Thunderpuss remixes definitely stand out as the best dance remixes for a Madonna song. Extremely well-produced remixes made for the dance floor and all of this without losing the catchiness of the original. On this UK single part 1, you get the Thunderpuss Club Mix (full version of the thunderpuss radio mix found on part 2). Remember this remix is not available on the regular US maxi-single, which offers a DIFFERENT thunderpuss remix (aka the "2001" one). Confusing? Indeed, to get all of the DTM remixes (including all of the thunderpusses), you have to buy a total of FOUR singles : UK part 1 and 2, US maxi-single (featuring the video and the thunderpuss 2001), and the Australian single (also with the video, and yet featuring a third exclusive thunderpuss remix and a screen-saver).
The radio edit doesn't differ much from the original. The fading strings at the end of the song have been cut out.
As for Cyber-Raga, it sounds a bit like "Shanti Ashtangi" from the Ray Of Light album. Not my style, but who cares, the Thunderpuss Club Mix totally rocks.
Don't you ever tell her to stop!
Decent
2002-06-15 - This CD has a Thunderpuss Club Mix not found in the US release. It also has the radio edit of the lp version, and Cyberraga. Very good song, good b-side, ok mix.
