Original 'Into the Groove' plus two excellent remixes

This single does indeed include the original version of 'Into the Groove' and you get two very good remixes of other songs to boot. The Silver Screen Mix of 'Causing a Commotion' is very fresh and bouncy and the Extended Version of 'Who's That Girl' isn't bad either. I absolutely recommend this single if you like the 'Who's That Girl' soundtrack, the remixes add a whole lot of energy to the two songs.

THIS ONE IS WORTH LOOKING FOR!!!
2004-04-09 - To begin with, do not be fooled by the look of this CD. The cheesy cover art and the low-quality graphics suggest to potential buyers that perhaps the sound quality of this CD is of an equal value. Rest assured, it is not. I have reviewed all three of these tracks in other CD reviews on CDNOW, but here's a wrap-up: 1. INTO THE GROOVE: the version on The Immaculate Collection is tainted with that corny fake-cowbell noise. The version on You Can Dance is excellent, but removes the reverb from the original vocal. All in all, this one is THE original, untouched, the way it was meant to be heard. This version is available on a few other imports, but they are either a bad deal (i.e. the Dress You Up single that comes in the cardboard sleeve/the import single that just includes album tracks alongside) or they have the remix of "Angel" included (Barf! An excellent song ruined by a terrible remix). 2. WHO'S THAT GIRL: This mix gives the song a quasi-freestyle mix (see my review for the UK single), very 80's-esque, but highly enjoyable on my meter. More importantly, the crummy sound quality of the "other" single for Who's That Girl is gone! This one sounds way better! 3. CAUSING A COMMOTION: yet another great Madonna remix, done by Shep Pettibone. I like this remix a lot, but it is still important to also have the full single of Causing a Commotion, as it has an excellent house mix (see my other review). OVERALL, this single is pretty much essential for any true Madonna fan, including those who have all the other singles; this is the only place to get a HIGH quality copy of the remix of Who's That Girl, and it is the BEST place to get the original version of Into the Groove.

Nice for Collectors
2000-09-25 - If you don't have the soundtrack for "Who's That Girl", this is a nice way to get the best Madonna contributions to that album without having to buy the whole soundtrack. If you already have the soundtrack, you aren't missing anything.
