Power of Goodbye Track Listing:
1. Power of Goodbye [Album Version]
2. Power of Goodbye [Dallas' Low End Mix]
3. Power of Goodbye [Luke Slater's Super Luper]
4. Power of Goodbye [Luke Slater's Filtered Mix]

Editorial Review:
Japanese edition of the fourth single from her smash 1998 album 'Ray Of Light'. Contains all five tracks/ mixes of 'Power Of Goodbye' from the Australian edition (Album Version, Dallas' Low End Mix, Luke Slater's Super Luper, Luke Slater's Filter Mix and Fabian's Good God Mix), but in superior standard jewel case packaging (the Aussie is only ina slipcase sleeve). 1998 Maverick/ Warner Brothers release.
Power of Goodbye Reviews:
Power Of Goodbye: one of Madge's best ballads???
2005-04-01 - The answer to that is YES. The song is beautiful!
1. ALBUM- Great song, as said above
2. DALLAS LOW END- Good acoustic version
3. SUPER LUPER- Good music, no vocals which makes this mediocre
4. FILTERED- Better than Luke Slater Super Luper, scary sounds!
5. FABIEN GOOD GOD- As it says, GOOD.
A rather good single. Super Luper should be rid of though. Another remix should replace it. Maybe a remix of one of her previous singles from the ROL album???
The Power of Goodbye
2004-12-03 - This is a real gem to have. The Japanese version is the best one of The Power of Goodbye. It contains all four commerical remixes Available and a supperior Jewel Case/Insert, as do all Japanese cds.
1. Album Version: The orginial version. You can not improve on perfection.
2. Dallas Low End Mix: This is a more simplistic version. You will hear more of the acoustics in this version than the album.
3. Luke Slater's Supper Lupper: NOT Supper. This version sounds like it should be a club version of Ray of Light. The only lyrics here are "Freedom Comes" and the are repeated over and over and over. This version is okay, but should NOT be a remix of The Power Of Goodbye.
4. Luke Slatter's Filtered Mix: Exclusive to the Jappanesse/Australian Version. This mix is a bit more "dark", shall I say. It has a real electronica feel, but I don't like the way the lyrics were done, at all.
5. Fabian Good God Mix: This version is decent. It is another club mix, but better than any of Luke Slaters
Experimental Fans Need Apply
2004-02-17 - Not the usual Madonna dance mixes. For the experimental sound fan.
Now This Is A SONG
2004-02-15 - I think that ''Power Of Goodbye'' is one of the most Beautiful, Pure and Significant tracks Madonna ever recorded during her lifetime career. I figure this was the first track I truly liked of hers. Of Course, I like nearly all her tracks now but this one still settles as the head of all my favorites.
The original version has a dreamy sound, with eccentric warm and powerful vocals that lure most music listeners, This song is absolutely unique, Nobody will ever be able to outdo her (if they dare.)
I was disappointed with the remixes, I expected some awestruck and successful mixes, But the Austin Mix sounds like it came out of a tin, It really doesn't do any good for the song, just makes it less interesting. And as for the other remixes.....There is just no way...That you can try and associate Techno with this specific track (maybe with other Madonna tracks) but not this one because it's a very bad combination, it was the same with ''Drowned World (Substitute For Love)'' a very thorough track, similar to this one, the only remix ever made of it was unsuccessful. I think Madonna could do much better without involving too much House, Dance, Techno.
Try and get [Ray Of Light] the album.
So therefore, the original version is still seated the most supreme.
3 Stars
2002-06-23 - Here's the deal, this maxi-single was not released in the U.S. and I can see why. They were only released as a promo 12" and yet became M's first club promo to not chart on Club Play AT ALL.
1. LP Version: wonderful ballad as appers on RAy of Light
2. Low End Mix: a funky version of the oiginal. this one's ok and has a kind of asian interlude going on in the middle
3. Super Luper: AWFUL!!!!!!
4. Filter: I actually like this one :P. It's very scary-sounding
5. Good God: This one's decent
If you don't like experimental music, steer clear!!
