The world can't get enough of Madonna, and with CD/DVD sets like The Confessions Tour dropping regularly, it's little wonder why. As a thrower of fantasy dance parties, she is peerless. As a physical role model for the 40-ish women who grew up on her music, she rules. And as an arbiter of what's going to sound shockingly original in any given decade--well, duh. The Confessions Tour rounds up songs from way back--"Ray of Light" and "La Isla Bonita" make the DVD, and "Lucky Star" and "Like a Virgin" are on the CD as well as the DVD--but this concert, filmed in 2006 at London's Wembley Arena, aims its sturdiest spotlight on Confessions on a Dance Floor, Madge's 2005 disco disc. You could argue, then, that unless you're in it for the sheer DVD spectacle (and what a spectacle it is), there's no sense in owning this package. Only you wouldn't be right. Because as any on-the-ball Madonna fan knows, what she's doing musically is telling a story--you may already know the characters, but that doesn't mean she hasn't completely reworked the plot. To that end, "I Love New York" gets its rock on, "Let It Will Be" has a musical temper tantrum, and "Hung Up" goes for the drama queen award. You've heard these songs before, but you've never heard them quite like this, to borrow a bad informercial phrase. Not So Great 
2008-06-19 - I've been a Madonna a fan since 1982 and eveything she has done since the year 2000, has not been so great. I purchased this album because of the concert and live cd with it. I was not impressed with the show at all. I believe it's her 2nd to worst tour so far(her worst being Drowned World Tour) but some parts in the show were good.

-Again, not a great song from Confessions.

-Now this was a good way she arranged this track. She finally decided to sing this song. Thumbs up!

Another good track she arranged well, with good chereography.

I'll pass!!
06- Live To Tell
Now she went too far on this one!! This is what made me turn off the show when I first watched it!

Now she performed this song really well!

She should of sang "Don't Tell Me" instead of this song.

Now, this is the part of the show where it begins to start up! I enjoyed this part of the show!!

I liked how she used the faster version of the song!
19- La Isla Bonita
Another great song and I loved how she turned it into a techno version.
20- Lucky Star
Here's one we haven't heard since 1990. Classic Madonna!
21- Hung Up
Just ok! Looks like she didn't put enough energy into the song. She usually leaves the building with a bang (exp. Girlie Show "Everybody" & Drowned World "Music").

The CD was just ok, mostly the same stuff as the concert. Hopefully Madonna has a better setlist for her Hard Candy Tour. She needs to add more old stuff, songs we haven't heard in a long time. I would love to hear her sing songs from the 1986-1989 era. That was my favorite Madonna era!

A Must Buy
2008-06-10 - This show is a "Must buy", whether you like Madonna or not.
One of a kind show in terms of Sound, Video art and performance.
Good price for 2.5 hours DVD DTS plus audio disk.
Down side - Only DTS, no DD
