There's a kind of perverse marketing genius at work in this cheesy sci-fi hit from 1995 in which scientists create a half-human, half-alien woman named Sil (Natasha Henstridge) who's capable of morphing from a slimy, tentacled creature into a blonde babe with the body of a Playboy centerfold. This makes it easy for Sil to lure gullible guys who are only too willing to indulge her voracious mating urge, realizing too late that sex with Sil is anything but safe. As the body count rises, a handpicked team of specialists tracks the alien's killing spree, but their diverse expertise is barely a match for the ever-morphing Sil. Borrowing elements of the Alien movies (including bizarre alien designs by Swedish artist H.R. Cult movie, but like it.
2009-11-30 - This movie I put in the group with Mimic. (oddly enough the sequels fell off at about the same pace. Mimic 2 is not bad) Although there is a lot of nakedness, it's still a cool movie. The acting lineup is great, and of course they chose a hottie to be naked all the time. I recommend seeing this movie just because it's a good show. I bought it, and it's in my rotation of movies that I'll watch again.

a must see
2009-10-01 - i have the 2 and 3 versions indiviually and i wanted to complete the trilogy. too bad the actors presented their best at different times instead of as an ensemble. if you are a straight guy, you would enjoy Natasha's nudity....and i am a straight guy!!! sorry ladies

What's A Killer Female Alien Movie Without Nudity?
2009-06-30 - Species is an enjoyable low budget alien movie starring Michael Madsen. Althought the special effects are pretty good, there is a ton of nudity. ABout every other ten minutes it's more bare breasts or bottoms. It probably has the most of all four. Species is for the sci-fi geeks out there (like me), but is not really a Oscar winning motion picture. Even with it's first rate cast.

2009-04-19 - Great movie if you're looking for senseless sci-fi action, and not too interested in getting to know the characters. The quality of the DVD was great - picture sharp, sound was outstanding. Should also be advised there was a lot of above the waist nudity, but seeing as how the plot was based on a hybrid alien/human that escapes execution in a lab, then follows her motherly instincts to reproduce, well.... you kind of have an idea going into the movie what it's all about.

HORRIBLE
2008-10-22 - What a horrible, horrible movie. Shows like a terrible, low budget, "made for TV" movie. Bad acting, bad script, ridiculous special effects... this is one crummy movie. Sorry I wasted precious minutes of my life watching this garbage.
