2009-07-24 - Everyone who is a fan of Mariah Carey should have this in there collection. If only just for the song Everything Fades Away. Its how many years later and that song is in heavy rotation in my MP3 Player.

Mariah's most beautiful B side
2008-04-15 - I bought this cd single because of the song "Everything fades away". It was only released in Europe, which I never understood because it is one of the most beautiful songs Mariah has ever written. After all these years I still listen to it. I hope that sometime in the future she releases an album of all her B-sides. This is my favorite one by far.

Second best song off of Music Box. 5.5 stars.
2007-12-02 - Great inspirational ballad. Very powerful vocal-wise and not sexist. LOL Whoever thought that in their review is a very sad individual.

Anyway, the lyrics touch me and I can feel myself becoming inspired once I endure it for a minute. By the time it's over, I'm not only inspired but filled with hope.

Most of her songs aren't like this anymore.

And Then A Hero Comes Along, With The Strength To Carry On!
2005-06-11 - Mariah Carey has the most beautiful, powerful, breathtaking, soaringly 7 octave voice in the world, she is my favorite singer of all time and Hero is my favorite song of all time!!

I remember back in 1993, I was waiting for my mother, while sitting in the car, I was just changing stations on the radio and I heard the DJ say that this was the newest song from Mariah Carey called Hero and I was totally blown away!!! Even before I got the CD of Music Box, I heard this song and I just totally loved it that instant. For months I heard the song on the radio, saw the video for Hero on VH1 and MTV, even after a few years, I still heard the song and saw the video and NEVER once, have I ever gotten bored with it!! Many people have said that this song was overplayed but not to me, to me, every time I heard it, I loved it more and more and it's now my all time favorite song in the world and favorite Mariah song!!

It's such an incredible song lyrically, musically, and especially vocally!!! I love the Live version even more because Mariah sings just a tad bit more live than in the studio, she added more vocals. This song actually has gotten me through a lot of obstacles in my life with the powerful message!! I love the part in Hero (Live Version) that goes: "Lord Knows, Dreams Are Hard To Follow, But Don't Let Anyone Tear Them Away, Just Hold On, There Will Be Tomorrow, And In Time You'll Find The Way."

When I did get this CD single in 1994, I was again blown away by Mariah's voice in Everything Fades Away!!! Another Mariah masterpiece lyrically, musically and vocally!! Everything about this song is incredible! Such a beautiful, powerful, emotional ballad, I love it!!!

Dreamlover (Club Joint Mix) is a cool remix that has this funk sound to it. It's pretty cool, Mariah's voice sounds amazing but my favorite version is the Music Box version.

And to everyone who thinks only men can be Heros, a woman can be a hero! I am a female and I never once felt offended because I know Mariah meant this song to be for men and women!

2004-07-16 - Hero is one of my favorite songs. When my daughter and her friend were about 13, she signed it and her friend sang it at a ladies breakfast that we had at church. It gives this song a special meaning for me. It was so beautiful and there was not a dry eye in the house. Mariah did a great job on this song!
