The One that began it All. 5 Star Review
2009-10-10 - Say what you want about Mariah Carey but there is no denying that her voice is unmatched and the legacy she left with this album is still to be seen in music History. Yes im a big fan but I know talent and when I first heard this CD I could not believe the voice this woman had. Whitney Houston can sing her A** off and is still one of the best vocalist but Mariah has something special, Her voice could go from as low as a whisper and in the drop of a dime just soar to the heavens.
This Cd is great from track 1 to 11. Songs like Vision Of Love, Love takes Time, Someday show what classic Mariah was all about and why she became as big as she did back in 1990.
Vanishing, I don't Wanna Cry, and All In your Mind are great tracks and show off her range amazingly and In my opinion are some of Mariah's best recorded tracks which 2 of them had potential to be singles and become classics.
Prisoner and you Need Me are great upbeat songs that show a sassy, Rapping Mariah
and still while keeping it simple she paralyzes you with those Melisma runs.
There's Got to be a Way is one of those underrated Mariah songs, It has A sincere message about Getting together and making a change for the world.
I kept this review short but I end it saying that this album is not only timeless but also shows the birth of one of the best Pop vocalist since Whitney Houston.

Best Tracks
1-Vision Of Love
2-Love Takes Time
3-Someday
4-Vanishing

Best Female Vocalist 5 Star Review
2009-07-09 - This is one of the best albaum of Mariah Carey. I especially love tracks #1,2 & the last one but all are great and can stand up by themselves.

Really one of my all time favorite CD by any artist to date.
Mariah Carey has the best vocal in the world and it really shows on this CD.

Good One of her best! 4 Star Review
2009-03-23 - I certainly wouldn't call this her best album, but I thought it was on the upper tier of her albums. The Opening track Vision of Love is a ballad that I've been listening to occasionally for over 10 years now, and I think that it still gives me chills when i listen to it. She's a great talent and I actually think this is her strongest ballad. I really didn't care for I don't wanna Cry it was generic Carey. Screaming and wailing and the whole shabang. I thought Someday was pretty intersting. I didn't think it was great, but it was good. Visions was pretty darn good. You can really hear her song without doing the dramatics and really showcases her voice on a great level. My favorite track on this album had to All in time. I thought it was fun upbeat and a very good track. Love takes time is kind of like ugh! Some old some old not to impressive, but pretty good. Since this is her first album, I will giver her the fact that this is very impressive for a debut artist. It can be played at wedding,Funeral, or a Party. That's the great thing about Carey is that she's versital. Overall, I would recommend this album to classical/broadway music fans, pop, or hiphop/r &b. I think this album does suffer from sounding abit outdated but it's lead single is worth it!

Excellent debut cassette 5 Star Review
2009-01-25 - Mariah Carey was released on June 12th, 1990 and reached #3 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Black album and spent three weeks at #1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 Album Chart and has since gone 9x Platinum. Mariah won a Grammy Award in 1990 for Best New Artist. Mariah Carey does have a very good voice but does have tendency to show off. She tries to see how long she can hold a single note. Barring that comment this is an excellent cassette. Just little note, side two is longer then side one. This cassette gets an AAA+++.
