2005-06-22 - When this single came out the proceeds were donated to families of 911 victims. So I bought it to support that but who knew that the second song entitled THERE FOR ME would be such a rare treat from Mariah. Wow, her powerful vocals really get a chance to soar on this one. This is true classic Mariah style happening here. Don't let this song get away from you just because you did'nt like Glitter......

2005-01-13 - I was skeptical at first after I bought this single from a music shop. It was an import here though. But when I listened to it and I was definitely not disppointed from it. I loved the ballad There For Me. In fact it was the real star of the single in the first place anyway. It just moved me. I figgured. why can't she just keep singing songs and stuff like this? She usually so good and has done it for many years. What's more it was where she got her fame for anyway. This ballad reminded me of the Mariah Carey I knew in the old days when I actually started to go all crazy about her music and her voice. This single is a good recommendation if your sick of her latest scoop hip-hop songs that don't even suit her properly. Frankly Mariah please return to us the way you were before. Before we all put you to the shelves if you know what I mean. You were meant for this!!!!

2003-01-07 - I have never been a diehard Mariah Carey fan. But for some reason, after I heard some of the songs from her Glitter album, I decided to buy it and loved it (yeah i know not many people can claim becoming fans because of Glitter) and so i got this single as a gift for Christmas. I liked Never Too Far and of course everybody has heard the song Hero, and they went together really well. But the real star is There For Me, a song written by Mariah, Diane Warren, and David Foster. When I first heard it, I dismissed it. I'm not sure why, maybe I was tired of Mariah. But a few weeks ago i listened to it again. Whoa, it just blew me away. It manages to be moving, inspirational, and moving without ever getting sappy. The lyrics are great and the melody is beautiful enough to make you get teary-eyed. She really proves she is a great singer. Go out and buy it today!

2002-04-11 - The first track is a medley of the beautiful ballad "Never Too Far" from Glitter and "Hero," one of Mariah's very best.

The second track is a beautiful new Mariah song called "There for Me." For those of you who hated the Glitter album and prefer her old style instead, you will love this song! Get this single because this song is unreleased and doesn't appear on any of her albums. Plus, proceeds of this single goes to the 9/11 fund.
