Editorial Review: What did Bettie Page have to do with the Bay of Pigs? Who killed Marilyn Monroe? Was Oswald the lone gunman? Did the old man in the nursing home have the answers? A story book for adults illustrated with a series of paintings (primarily nudes) by the author. Still Lifes: Marilyn, Betty, Joe, Jack and Me Reviews: GOOD COLLECTOR'S ITEM 2005-07-24 - I BOUGHT THIS ITEM BECAUSE I HAVE A PAINTING BY THE ARTIST. IT IS AN INTERESTING WAY TO PRESENT HIS ART. THE STORY INVOLVES BETTIE PAGE AND MARILYN MONROE AS DO MOST OF THE PAINTINGS ILLUSTRATED IN IT. IT IS NOT AN ILLUSTRATED STORY. IT'S NOT A BOOK OF PAINTINGS. THE PAINTINGS ARE ACRYLICS PAINTED WITH A BRUSH. THAT'S DIFFERENT THAN MOST OF THE AIRBRUSH AND COMPUTER STUFF DONE TODAY. I LIKE IT.
A pleased Marilyn Monroe Fan 2005-07-17 - This is an interesting item. It's a small book with a short story involving Marilyn Monroe's death and the Kennedy assassination. Bettie Page and Joe Dimaggio make appearances. The book is illustrated with paintings of Monroe, Page, Dimaggio and Kennedy. That's not exactly accurate. The story isn't illustrated like a graphic novel. The pictures are more to set the mood. I haven't really seen anything like this before. It is listed as an art book. As a collector of Marilyn Monroe, I find it a nice addition.
