That One Night: Live In Buenos Aires Reviews:
MEGA-ALIVE 5 Star Review
2009-10-14 - BEST MEGADETH LINE UP TO DATE. BAND IS REAL TIGHT AND THE FANS ADD TO THIS LIVE PRODUCTION. ITS A RE-BIRTH OF A METAL STAPLE AND ITS TRUE SOME THINGS GET BETTER WITH AGE...

Megadeth 2 Star Review
2009-09-05 - I love Megadeth but this live cd sucks. Their playing AWESOME the sound quality sucks. You have to struggle to even hear the bass over the guitars. The Guitars aren't thick. It sounds like you're listening to Megadeth but you are in the next room. If you want to hear a good live, heavy, thick, sound from Megadeth get Rude Awakening, or Warchest disc 4 have a much better sound quality.

Megadeth at its best!! 5 Star Review
2009-06-23 - This is a band that I left forgotten a few years ago. L had a chance to rent the live DVD that was released with this set and I was amazed at how strong and tight this new line up is. Dave Mustaine is in top form and deliver killer riff with his guitar playing. The band sounds like they have been playing with Dave since hight school. They know their Megadeth stuff by heart and look like they are having the time of their lives.

The real strength of the performance comes from the Argentinean crowd. These people inject such energy to the set that it is contagious. It is easy to tell why Dave Mustaine decided to record in Buenos Aires like it was intended back in 2001 before the 9/11 incident.

I highly recommend this live as both an introduction to live Megadeth but also to the new line up and the new music. This CD made me look for the latest Megadeth CD United Abominations which is a very solid effort by the band,

Three More Songs Are Included On This Version. 3 Star Review
2008-12-06 - If you didn't already know, this is available as a DVD as well. However, That One Night - Live in Buenos Aires DVD version doesn't include "Skin Of My Teeth," "Die Dead Enough," and "ANGRY AGAIN". So if you are debating between CD or DVD you'll want to take that into consideration.
Now that that is out of the way I'll move on to the performance. Let's be honest...this is not Megadeth's shining hour. I'm probably being a bit unfair to the guys in the band, but it's just the cold hard truth. You can hear it. While the album isn't bad, it isn't as clean as the performance on Megadeth's other live album Rude Awakening. This isn't a knock on the skill of the Drover brothers or bassist James MacDonough (Iced Earth), I just don't think they had enough time to get up to speed on the Megadeth library. This may explain why another review says "Reckoning Day...sounds sloppy." It's just a shame that there isn't a full length live album from the Nick Menza, Marty Friedman, David Ellefson era, since many fans consider that Megadeth's golden age.

It doesn't get better than Megadeth Live... 4 Star Review
2008-04-20 - This disc set rocks. If you've ever seen this band live, then you know how great they are. Mustaine's lyrics and guitar shredding is on point with album recordings, unlike many other bands that totally suck live - these guys are intense!

The song lineup is really good and leaves little to be desired. We all have our obscure Megadeth favorites, but this album covers all of the greats.

The second disc is really kickass. Classics like Trust, Symphony, Holy Wars, Peace Sells... its just amazing.

I was skeptical because usually I hate live metal albums, but this is actually an excellent recording. I'm even considering buying the DVD version. If you are a huge lifetime Megadeth fan like I am, you should check this out. Its actually pretty cheap too!
