Editorial Review:
Harley (Jennifer Esposito), a tough ex-con, embarks on a journey to reclaim hidden money she stole from a local mob boss. On the way, she meets Roy (Robert Patrick), a mild-mannered video store owner who is discontent with his ordinary life. Harley figures Roy would make the perfect accomplice, and reels him into her scheme. Before long, the two are running from the mob and heading for the border -- and neither is sure they can trust the other.
Backflash Reviews:
Great Robert Patrick flick!
2007-02-09 - Wow, I was taken back by this movie. I have never heard of it before, and I'm a big fan of Robert Patrick. I had to check it out. He is in almost every single scene and Jennifer Esposito is also exceptionally good in this movie. It has some really good twists, and it's kind of like an "I gotcha" type of ending. This is a definate check out if your a fan of Robert Patrick.
4 Stars for the move, 5 Stars for Robert Patrick
2005-10-15 - I was quite surprised by this movie - I never heard of it before, and going thru the movie section of the TV guide, decided to tape it since I saw it had Robert Patrick...I forgot I had it until several months later, and started watching it one morning while I was getting ready for work. I got so involved in it I was late! Some things are really weird, in a funny sort of way, but the end total took me off guard. Not an Oscar winner, but if you like Robert Patrick, this is a definite buy.
Cool old-fashioned B-flick.
2005-02-11 - Gritty business. Very entertaining. Low Budget. No flashy stuff. Sexy leading lady, good character actors. Parched-out desert locales. Cryptic but effective script with plenty of good twists.
This is the kind of movie John Payne made when he switched from playing handsome singing A-leads to laconic tough guys back in the 1950s. Kansas City Confidential, for example. Later on Lance Hendricksen did a lot of good stuff like this. Maybe Robert Patrick is the new LH.
What more could you ask for.
Well Worth Checking Out!!!!!!!!
2004-08-24 - I'll be honest. What got me watching this movie in the first place? Well, I was flipping channels and caught a quick glimpse of Jennifer Espinito, Just as if she were standing on the side of the highway hitchiking, and I slammed on the brakes to stop and pick her up, my channel surfing stopped dead right there!!!!
Not expecting a hell of alot from a movie she were starring in, I decided to check a bit of it out, since I was lucky enough to catch it right at the beginning of the movie.
To my pleasant surprise my interest was grabbed and held right from the start. The storyline seemed interesting enough, the acting very good, and it truly just kept getting better, and more interesting, and entertaining.
Robert patrick and Jennifer Espinito had great chemistery throughout the movie. Being a movie you've never heard of, you'd figure, or expect it to end up being a movie that gets to hard to believe. Though this movie seemed as if it were going to go that way, they could not have wrapped it up better.
as the credits begin rolling, you'll find yourself sitting there, eyebrows raised, and saying out loud "That was a really great movie!"
IT WAS! AND IT IS WELL WORTH CHECKING OUT!!!!
Extremely slow... Utterly horrible movie
2003-05-12 - I honestly can't believe that Robert Patrick wasted his time on this piece of [junk] movie. Ugh! One of the worst movies I've seen in quite a while.
