Editorial Review:
The third installment of the hugely succesful Die Hard series, reteams Bruce Willis and director John McTiernan in a new action/adventure extravaganza of special effects, unexpected comedy and non-stop thrills.
Description of Die Hard: With a Vengeance:
The second sequel to the mold-making action film Die Hard brings Detective John McClane (Bruce Willis) to New York City to face a better villain than in Die Hard 2. Played by Jeremy Irons, he's the brother of the Germanic terrorist-thief Alan Rickman played in the original film. But this bad guy has his sights set higher: on the Federal Reserve's cache of gold. As a distraction, he sets McClane running fool's errands all over New York--and eventually, McClane attracts an unintentional partner, a Harlem dry cleaner (Samuel L. Jackson) with a chip on his shoulder. Some great action sequences, though they can't obscure the rather large plot holes in the film's final 45 minutes. --Marshall Fine
Die Hard: With a Vengeance Reviews:
Another Top Notch Action Flick
2009-09-14 - The third installment in the 'Die Hard' series continues the tradition of non-stop action.
In this one, Lt. John McClane (Bruce Willis) is back working for the NYPD after some time in Los Angeles. A madman villain, Simon (Jeremy Irons) insists that McClane play a game of Simon Says with him. A failure on any of the tasks will result in Simon blowing up something. On his first test, McClane is saved from a gang of hoodlums by a shopkeeper, Samuel L. Jackson, who aids him throughout the rest of the tests.
As with its predecessors, 'Die Hard With A Vengeance' is intense throughout. It contains lots of farfetched scenes, but there is certainly no boredom in watching this. It is a great one for fans of action shows.
A 'Bruce Willis' must have.....
2009-07-09 - I had the first two (2) Die Hard movies, the latest, and to complete the collection (a must).
Delivers the goods. Excellent villain.
2009-05-28 - Delivers fine action sequences and plenty of humor. The main plot driving force is the enigmatic villain played by Jeremy Irons, who does a fantastic job as he dishes out riddle after riddle for the soon exasperated John McClain. Samuel Jackson does a good job as the innocent passerby who gets caught up in the act and has to help McClain along the way.
If you want a smooth action flick that is fairly intelligent and funny, then you can't go wrong with Die Hard with a Vengeance.
Delivered as promised!
2009-05-02 - Item arrived within a couple of days and we were watching the all Die Hard movies in a film festival. Thx.
Vengeance Has Never Been So Fun!!!
2009-04-09 - This is an awesome sequel with lots of action! John McClane is back doing what he doesa best on yet another very bad day. After a bomb goes off in the Bonwit Teller department store in New York City, Simon calls the NYPD and asks for John to play a game. During one of the games, a Harlem shopkeeper named Zeus Carver helps John. Throughout the day, John and Zeus go on a wild-goose chase to stop bombs going off, but it's all part of a much bigger plan. Simon happens to be Hans Grubber's brother from the original Die Hard. I highly recommend DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE!!!
