2009-10-02 - The CD plays great! My best friend and I used to listen to this CD back in high school and I lost Mine so I'm thrilled to have it again... and in better condition then my old one!
Love the songs on The Wreckers
2009-08-17 - I am not going to go into detail about this cd and what each song sings about because you can listen to samples on Amazon to see if you actually like the music or not. I personally love this cd. I have now owned this cd twice. My first cd was stolen and I had to have it so I bought it again. Most of the songs are heart break songs (or however you intrupet it is your choice) so if you love those kind then this cd is for you. If you are into lovey dovey songs then don't plan on enjoying. Some people have a different taste for music, but I love Michelle Branch and have loved her style. If this cd gets stolen again I will purchase a third time. Listen to the songs before you buy because I have heard some people do not like the cd so much.

2009-06-08 - This album is great! I actually bought it when i first came out in 2006. Discovered it at borders where i stood there an listened to the whole album b/c i couldnt stop! There are 1 or 2 songs that are ok, but the rest is great! soothing to the ears, one of my favorite albums
Much More than Pretty Faces
2009-05-07 - As collaborators, Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp sound better than they do alone. They have amazingly complementary voices, simply made for each other. This is contemporary country; it is more akin to early 70s rock than traditional country. One reviewer compares The Wreckers to Sheryl Crow, and I'll go for that over the more frequent Dixie Chicks comparisons. They possess a captivating sound; it is understated and melodic. I prefer Jessica's songs like "Tennessee", being more country-oriented, but that's just me. They complement each other, and the writing complements the vocals and vice versa. Each woman brings her own sensibilities, for example I find the title track sung by Michelle to be atypical country vocally but true country thematically. There isn't much twang, but think back to the confessional lyrics of Loretta, Tammy, or Reba.
I can't get enough of this sound, whatever you call it. Some won't call it country, but they toured with Rascal Flatts, and the Wreckers are more country than Flatts are. It is well-produced, but fairly sparse, atypical for Nashville. I've read that Michelle and Jessica have returned to solo work, but I wish Music City would put out more like this.
