Description of The Adventures of Pete & Pete - Season 2:
A new neighbor joins the redheaded brothers for their second season on Nickelodeon. The accident-prone Nona Mecklenberg (Michelle Trachtenberg) makes her first appearance in the premiere ("Grounded for Life"), where she is introduced as "the loneliest girl in Wellsville." By the end of the episode, that's no longer true as she and Little Pete (Danny Tamberelli) have become fast friends. Alas, nobody can take the place of his pet lizard, Gary, who makes his debut--and swan song--in the following adventure ("The Big Quiet'). Mona's dad, James (Iggy Pop, looking sharp in cardigan and khakis), will join the cast just in time for "Halloweenie," in which Pumpkin Eaters terrorize the neighborhood.
As for Big Pete (Michael Maronna), he'll finally ask Ellen (Alison Fanelli) out in "Time Tunnel". Endless Mike (Rick Gomez), in a rare moment of kindness, will lend him his car. It won't really change things, however. Maybe some people are meant to be friends--and others to be enemies. Then there are the Wrigley parents. In the first season, Dad (Hardy Rawls) fought for road trip supremacy. Now it's about having the best lawn and catching Bob, the biggest fish in the lake. Metal plate aside, Mom (Judy Grafe) does what she can to keep the craziness in check. As before, Big Pete narrates in that delightful deadpan, and many old favorites are back: bus driver Stu (Damian Young), math teacher Miss Fingerwood (Syd Straw), Ellen's dad, Mr. Hickle (Steve Buscemi), and strongman Artie (Toby Huss). Little Pete’s personal superhero will make his final appearance in the two-part "Farewell, My Little Viking." Guest stars include Gordon Gano as substitute teacher Zank ("X=Why?"), Bebe Neuwirth as McGinty the mailcarrier, David Johansen as park ranger Thorsen ("On Golden Pete"), and Chris Elliot as psychic meter man Ray ("Sick Day"). --Kathleen C. 2009-10-22 - Pete & Pete is an amazing show that is the perfect look into a generation of TV. I still love the theme song and every so often it pops into my head.

2009-07-21 - everything that nickelodeon does these days is make shows that will train kids to watch all the crap on MTV. There aren't any innovative shows on nickelodeon (except Sponge Bob) because there isn't any innovative shows on MTV and if kids learn to love innovative television then they wont wont watch MTV. Give me back my Pete & Pete Season 3.

2009-07-09 - i got this as a father's day present and it was a hit. best price on line and it came in mint condition. we enjoyed watching the episodes and taking a walk down memory lane. the delivery did take the maximum time alloted but no worries because i ordered early.

2009-06-04 - This iconic television show, is beautifully put together as a collection of the second season of the greatest show ever... PETE AND PETE! along with numerous special episodes/shorts and fun commentary from directors, writers and EVEN the original Little Pete, and Big Pete...this collection is sure to not disappoint.
My only wish is for Viacom not to be lame, and put out Season 3

2009-01-21 - If you're on this product page, you must be a fan of classic Nickelodean's all-time BEST show, the adventures of pete and pete. Words can't describe how amazingly creative, hilarious, and deeply touching this masterpiece of a tv series really was. If only the scumbags releasing these DVDs would put out the 3rd season, all would be well with the cosmos. The torment of being unable to access the 3rd season feels like an episode of this show in itself. Nevertheless, buy the existing DVDs while you can - it's the greatest live action show ever (along with Richard Boone's Paladin and the Adventures of Briscoe County Jr.)
