Description of The Adventures of Pete & Pete - Season 2:
A new neighbor joins the redheaded brothers for their second season on Nickelodeon. The accident-prone Nona Mecklenberg (Michelle Trachtenberg) makes her first appearance in the premiere ("Grounded for Life"), where she is introduced as "the loneliest girl in Wellsville." By the end of the episode, that's no longer true as she and Little Pete (Danny Tamberelli) have become fast friends. Alas, nobody can take the place of his pet lizard, Gary, who makes his debut--and swan song--in the following adventure ("The Big Quiet'). Mona's dad, James (Iggy Pop, looking sharp in cardigan and khakis), will join the cast just in time for "Halloweenie," in which Pumpkin Eaters terrorize the neighborhood.

As for Big Pete (Michael Maronna), he'll finally ask Ellen (Alison Fanelli) out in "Time Tunnel". Endless Mike (Rick Gomez), in a rare moment of kindness, will lend him his car. It won't really change things, however. Maybe some people are meant to be friends--and others to be enemies. Then there are the Wrigley parents. In the first season, Dad (Hardy Rawls) fought for road trip supremacy. Now it's about having the best lawn and catching Bob, the biggest fish in the lake. Metal plate aside, Mom (Judy Grafe) does what she can to keep the craziness in check.

As before, Big Pete narrates in that delightful deadpan, and many old favorites are back: bus driver Stu (Damian Young), math teacher Miss Fingerwood (Syd Straw), Ellen's dad, Mr. Hickle (Steve Buscemi), and strongman Artie (Toby Huss). Little Pete’s personal superhero will make his final appearance in the two-part "Farewell, My Little Viking." Guest stars include Gordon Gano as substitute teacher Zank ("X=Why?"), Bebe Neuwirth as McGinty the mailcarrier, David Johansen as park ranger Thorsen ("On Golden Pete"), and Chris Elliot as psychic meter man Ray ("Sick Day"). --Kathleen C. Fennessy

The Adventures of Pete & Pete - Season 2 Reviews:
Lets Get Season 3 going on DVD! 5 Star Review
2008-08-04 - All fans of this show do me a favor. Vote for this review. I ask this not for me, but for the hopeful release of Season 3 on DVD. Something I read is if there are alot of reviews written and several receive lots of votes, the show follows on DVD even if only through some sort of medium like Amazon.Com. I read this happened with "Journey to the Center of the Earth", "The Enemy Below", and "Shoot to Kill" movies. Get your friends to vote too. If we arouse enough interest at this review page we may see results-I mean I even saw that the DVD was produced with printed art however it was put on hold. Amazon may notice and inform the studios too. It is starting to work they will create a link on Amazon and start to ask for your e-mail address if it is getting interest. Lets make this happen!

Incredibly fun, A classic (We need Season 3 too!) 5 Star Review
2008-06-07 - The Adventures of Pete and Pete are incredibly fun and funny. The plots are absurdist but in a very entertaining way. Its the world through the eyes of children and then twisted a few more degrees to really make you think "how did they think of that!"

If you enjoy clever humor and stories TAoPaP are for you! If you enjoyed childhood but recognized you were a little different then TAoPaP is for you!

    Farewell all my little Vikings!!!!

pete and pete 5 Star Review
2008-05-23 - takes me back...wonderful show...I got it as an adolescent, but decades later got all of the jokes I missed as a kid. Wonderful writing, wonderful acting...just a great show all in all. Timeless...if you popped one of these DVD's in for the uninitiated...it might take 2 or 3 episodes for them to get it...but they would want to see more, then be hooked. I wish all the droll, laughtrack, follow the leader sitcoms took some hints...maybe the intelligents would watch TV today...not the mindless half-wits, who laugh when you tell them to...

Classic Nick TV 5 Star Review
2008-01-28 - Before Nick started airing all cartoons of screaming characters, shows like this ruled their primetime. And they still should. 2 brothers, strange characters, humor for both child and adult levels, and big name guest stars. If you watched this as a kid, buy it and remember how great the channel used to be.

yeah...not that happy. 1 Star Review
2007-10-28 - I had ordered this product in the middle of Sept. to give to a friend of mine for their birthday. Not only did the gift not arrive on time, but it is now almost November and i have yet to receive said package. I still can't find a way to contact Amazon and im pretty friggin pissed. My last resort is to construct a giant spotlight of Artie's face and maybe the strongest man...in the world! will come to my aid. :(
