Editorial Review:
You'd expect this to be a travesty. Milla Jovovich is a model and actress (The Fifth Element, He Got Game) who decided to put out an album of dark, lyrical art-rock in the manner of Dead Can Dance or This Mortal Coil. That's a demanding genre, littered with the bones and witchy jewelry of dozens of histrionic types who got the image thing right, but who never ironed out the "singing" and "songwriting" aspects of it all. Model? Actress? (Gong!) ... Next! Except The Divine Comedy is a stunningly good album, with folky-pastoral instrumentation, haunting, accomplished vocals, and tight songwriting. There are, it's true, session pros all over this CD--which tempers the awe a bit--but nonetheless, it's a real gem from an unlikely source. --Gavin McNett

The Divine Comedy Reviews:
Utterly amazing! 5 Star Review
2009-11-03 - I bought this CD when it first came out years ago, and I still listen to it frequently. The lyrics are meaningful, the music is at times melancoly, but I dig it!

Milla Jovovich - "The Divine Comedy" 5 Star Review
2009-10-28 - Used CD came free of defects. Only $2, would have paid more. "The Divine Comedy" could easily have been released today, very modern sound with nods to traditional folk music. Reminds me of Tori Amos, but more fun. They need to do an official rerelease of this album. Excellent! Especially the last song. Those interested, place requests for "The Gentleman Who Fell" to your local radio stations please.

The Devine comedy 4 Star Review
2009-05-09 - Milla is a person of multiple talents. Not only is she an acomplished model and actress but she is a great singer as well. Her album 'The Divine Comedy' is folky with a hint of divaness. "The Gentleman Who Fell" is a very beautiful song that showcases Milla's vocals, and "Bang Your Head" displays her rang. Milla's music makes me think of Irish folk music. Overall this is a great album.

milla is hot!! 5 Star Review
2008-12-16 - i love this cd! i highly recommend this cd to anyone whom is thinking of get it, or loves milla jovovich. she has a wonderful voice, very soothing. there is not one track that i did not like.

Divine Pleasure 5 Star Review
2008-11-25 - I rolled the dice on this one and feel like I hit the jackpot. The CD took me totally by surprise. I am one of the few people who don't hate Milla because she is young, beautiful and talented. She's a very good actress, which floats the boats on the otherwise standard zombie movies. Milla deserves better roles with a wider audience, but alas... she is spurned by the big production studios (same with Kate Beckensale). Anyway, the CD holds up after repeat listenings. I'd immediately buy her next release (if there is one) -- especially if the same musicians were involved.
