Editorial Review:
Comedian Dave Sheridan stars with Randy Quaid and Dolly Parton in an outrageous comedy where hilarious things happen to a claims investigator who takes his job a little too seriously! As a child, Frank McKlusky (Sheridan) watched his daredevil father "Madman" McKlusky become comatose in an ill-fated motorcycle stunt. Now as a risk-avoiding adult, he lives with his parents, always wears protective gear, and works by the Claims Investigator Handbook. Insurance fraud wiped out the family finances, but Frank's career compensates. When he suspiciously loses his partner on the job, Frank must become a master of disguise, take on a sexy new partner, and grab evidence to bust up the biggest insurance scam going.
Description of Frank Mcklusky, C.I.:
Frank McKlusky, C.I. is the latest movie to follow in the footsteps of the Farrelly brothers (who made Dumb and Dumber and There's Something About Mary). Dave Sheridan plays the title character, an insurance claims investigator whose father (Randy Quaid), a daredevil stuntman, blew up while attempting a motorcycle jump. In response, Frank's mother (Dolly Parton) became a safety nut, forcing her children to wear padded clothing and crash helmets even when sleeping. Frank's one goal in life is to get revenge on two shyster lawyers who prevented his father from getting proper medical attention. But the plot of Frank McKlusky, C.I. is just an excuse for an endless series of tasteless jokes about the handicapped, gays, fat people, bodily functions, and Scott Baio. If this is your cup of tea, you know who you are. Featuring Andy Richter, Kevin Pollack, and Chyna of the WWE. --Bret Fetzer
Frank Mcklusky, C.I. Reviews:
IT'S ONLY ME, BUT:
2008-06-01 - A INSURANCE CLAIMS ADJUSTER TAKES HIS JOB ALITTLE TOO SERIOUSLY DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE FEELS HIS DAD RECEIVED POOR CARE FROM THE INSURANCE AFTER AN ACCIDENT AS A MOTORCYCLE STUNT MAN. DOLLY PARTON IS THE MOTHER WHO AFTER HER HUSBAND DIES IN THE MOTORCYCLE CRASH RESPONDS BY HAVING HER KINDS IN HELMETS AND PADDED CLOTHES EVEN TO SLEEP. JM

2006-03-13 - It's probably not worth a trip to the video store, but catching this movie randomly on tv with no expectations I was pretty impressed. It's a solid second-string quirky/crude comedy, successfully blending a bunch of sketch comedy type ideas into a semi-coherent story. It's no Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, but it's better than Corky Romano. If a 40ish year old man in a wheelchair on stage at a Hanson concert trying to dance and yelling "Hanson rock" isn't your idea of funny then maybe give it a miss. 7/10.

2005-09-01 - I love this movie, and I bought this as a birthday present for my son. He loved it too. This is one of the funniest movies around and everytime I see it I find something new to laugh at. A true classic!
Great Movie
2004-07-03 - I believe that this was a great movie that people can enjoy and lift your spirits. Andy Richter was great and Dolly Parton was beautiful and Dave Sheridan was perfect. It kept me laughing all through the movie and I recommend it to all comedy fans especially Ferrally Bros. fans.
