Editorial Review:
The Black Parade, My Chemical Romance's follow-up to its 2004 platinum major-label debut Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, "is way more dramatic, way more theatrical, completely over the top, borderline psychotic," says Gerard Way. "It's the most pure, intense thing we've ever been involved in." Producer by Rob Cavallo (Green Day), the album is a celebration of lvoe and death and darkness. Join The Black Parade.

Description of The Black Parade:
My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has alternately described his band's third album as "completely over the top" and "borderline psychotic." But even those words can't adequately prepare fans of the group's 2004 platinum major-label debut, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, for the onslaught of twisted song suites, glam-rock cannon fire and drama-club theatrics that make up The Black Parade. Tracks like "Mama" and "The End" make "Bohemian Rhapsody" sound like "Blitzkrieg Bop." It's no coincidence that the disc feels as dizzyingly monumental as Green Day's American Idiot--after all, the two albums share the same label, producer, studio, janitorial team, and sense of apocalyptic dread. Similarly, The Black Parade will cast its creators in a completely new light. Despite its overly histrionic tendencies and a totally oddball cameo from Liza Minelli, it offers a clear signal that My Chemical Romance is ready to be taken seriously. --Aidin Vaziri

The Black Parade Reviews:
BLACK PARADE 5 Star Review
2009-12-11 - I won't bore you with the story behind this album - just to say it is different to their previous albums although their style can still be recognised. A lot more experimentation, love for Queen, Pink Floyd and The Beatles evident.

My Chemcial Romance, Come one come all to this amazing affair! 5 Star Review
2009-11-11 - You've always been told not to listen to the little teenage girls and their opinion on music, but in this case the girls are right. This CD is amazing! I am a MCR fan and have been for a long time, I am the same age as the band members and it seemed like their lives on CD changed and bore a strange resemblance to what I was going though at the time. It was uncanny. I would swear they had been reading my thoughts! You don't have to be a firkin teenager to like great music. Music has no age limit people, remember that. If someone tells you listening to MCR or anyone else you like is stupid because teenagers like them, they are completely music retarded and close minded. After you punch them in the face, you should just walk away, knowing that crap doesn't matter! Ok don't hit anyone, but you know you feel like it sometimes.LOL Sorry not a big category popularity contest person.:) And I hate it when others tell me what I should be listening to, instead of just saying "hey, not my cup of tea"...(sighs)(I had a moment, it over now, promise.;))

Anyway, I digress... The Black Parade is a concept CD that has had much praise, but not nearly what it deserves! I fear that people think they are some teeny bopper crap band like AFI or Fallout Boy. Unfortunately, They hit the height of their Popularity during the moments that those bands were coming out, so they got looped into a stereotype by people that hadn't heard them, but had heard of them and what they had heard was, that MCR one of those one hit wonder crap bands.(Run-on sentence much?? LOL) I promise you that is far from the truth. The Black Parade is there most "grown up" CD by far, which makes since as they are more grown up.LOL This CD has something for everyone that enjoys good rock music. It has aspects of Queen,Kiss,Bowie, and even Meatloaf.LOL When I say Meatloaf, I think more like the constant changes in the music and moods on the CD. It's a rollercoaster of emotion. Hard Rock, Classic Rock, Punk Rock, Pop Rock are some of the "Categories" I think people can identify with when choosing to listen to this CD. It's got it all! The musicianship is brilliant! Songs Like Momma make me think of Les Miserable's.(Broadway) Like I said it has everything. I highly recommend this CD to anyone who has good taste in music. And if you claim to have good taste and don't own & love this CD, then I truly believe you are music retarded.;)
The moral to the story... check it out!<3

The Black Parade 5 Star Review
2009-05-10 - Dark, depressive, bombastic and full of hyper energy! "The Black Parade" brings back the days of Queens "A Night at the Opera" and "A Day of the Races". Who would have thought that death could be so much fun?

freak nasty awesome 5 Star Review
2009-04-14 - it defies everything negative anyone ever said about them.

Energetic, honest, somber, thoughtful, awe inspiring, and basically AH-MAZZZZING!!!

Thus far my favorite... 4 Star Review
2009-03-25 - I love this angsty over top rock album! Probably my favorite My Chemical Romance CD thus far.
