"A Cinderella Story" collects some of the biggest performers in pop, but the highlights are certainly the four new Hilary Duff tracks (a cover of the Go Go's "Our Lips Are Sealed," "Crash World," "The Girl Can Rock" and "Now You Know." (The disc also includes "Anywhere But Here," a track from Duff's triple-platinum bow, "Metamorphosis.")
Other performances on "A Cinderella Story" include two songs from Radio Disney star Jesse McCartney (star of the WB's "Summerland"), and tracks from Goo Goo Dolls ("Sympathy"), Jimmy Eat World ("Hear You Me") and MxPx ("First Day of the Rest of Our Lives").

What song's playing in the rain? 
2009-02-19 - What song is playing in the last scene of the movie, with the rain? It's when Chad Michael Murray quits the football game and runs up to where Hillary Duff is.
Good album, faulty manufacturing 
2007-11-06 - In my opinion, this is a great album. All of the songs are good if you like music (that is, if you don't pigeonhole yourself into listening to specific genres only, and you're open to all types of music).
There is one big problem with this disc, however. Edwin McCain's "I'll Be" skips at 1:15 into the track. It repeats the last couple of seconds instead of what should be there (so technically, it doesn't skip, but there was a problem in the manufacturing process). At first I thought my encoder messed up, but a second encoding had the same result. I looked at the disc, and it looks perfect, no marks or scratches or anything. I checked it in my stereo, and sure enough, the track skips at 1:15.
A cinderella story it's so good 
2007-08-16 - This product was brilliant; all of the songs fit together perfectly. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that 'hear you me' by 'jimmy' was not on it; the song 'friend' is such a sweet song though it makes up for this.
Dissapointed
2007-07-26 - I was thoroughly dissapointed when I picked up this soundtrack. There are different versions on this CD than that which are performed in the movie. 'Best Day Of My Life' is not performed by Jesse McCartney, and I really think that the version that is better is the one that plays in the movie, yet it's not a track. And 'Now You Know' is listed as by Hilary Duff, but also in the movie is not performed by Hilary Duff. Once again, the better version was in the movie, and I think it was a mistake to include these versions of the tracks. I really love the music on this soundtrack, surprisingly, I just wish it had the versions that were actually in the movie.

2007-03-18 - I really love the songs on this CD, especially 2,3,10 and 12.
Those are just my favorites.
Love the movie, and most of the music off of it, so knew I'd love the CD.
