Fun 
2008-04-29 - Taken the right way, this brash, over-the-top remake is actually a minor masterpiece. It perfectly embodies the decadence of the film, Moulin Rouge, for which it was made. With tongue just a bit in cheek, it takes what was basically a pretty base and silly 70s song and pumps it up to the Nth degree; a good time is had by all. With its forceful production and female vocal pyrotechnics (the sheer power with which they pronounce nonsense lines like "mocha choka la ta ta ta" is breathtaking), we have a pretty damn fine guilty pleasure here.
Not Marmalade! 
2004-08-28 - Sometimes, when reworked versions, and covers seem to come along in music, they really always don't seem to fit the bill very well. For Lady Marmalade by LaBelle, it was and still is absolutely divine and soulful. Unfortunately, the version from Moulin' Rouge with Nicole Kidman, isn't one to live up to expectations. The collaboration of Pink, Lil' Kim, Christina Aguillera, and Mya, sounds more like a divafest of knowing who is the better diva. The song also adds a rap that Lil' Kim conjured that really wasn't part of the version LaBelle made that didn't even add spice to it. Instead, it just sinks the track to even lower heights. All in all, I really didn't find this version exciting and worth listening to, time after time. It really doesn't have the longevity of the original one from the 70's, and it never will.
Sassy Girls... 
2004-05-11 - This song is sexy, sassy and funky.....and most of all a cool party song, which conjures up the good mood. The Thunderpuss Mixes are far superior to the original.
The Radio Edit, is a mellow, funky, Latin mixture with a flow of cute beats. Really sexy at that!
Thunderpuss Radio Mix. This is a shorter version of the Thunderpuss club mix.
Thunderpuss Club Mix. This is a House esque-BT/Victor Calderone remix, with sharp disco beats and a menacing but cool scream/yell as a intro for the song, it also continuously slows down and re-builds up, when X-Tina's voice breaks its way through every now and then, accompanied by the other performers being- Pink, Mya, Lil' Kim and Missy Elliot. Excellent!.
Thunderpuss Mixshow. This mix has the same dance formula, more likely with allot of subjective enhancements, voices have been reduced and altered in other parts, while Missy Elliot isn't left out until the end of the song.
It doesn't have a big variety of remixes, but rather its a average and substantial variety of mixes. Overall, if you're a fan of dance music, you cannot say you like to party without havin' this song!!!.

2003-09-07 - Now this song was really cool originally but like so many thing the cover has improved it greatly. CHRISTINA AGUILERA is by far my favrite singer and the best out there....then we got LIL' KIM my favrite rapper. add in MYA AND P!NK who can belt a tune with the best of them and I also am a huge fan of you know you got a great song. Who ever put this song together new what they were doing. Then the even go in order of how I like them like a countdown..In at #4 is Mya, then P!nk at 3, kim comes in at @ and My girl xtina is #1.
This is also the sonmg where we see xtina changing more....its music history right here these women are amazing.

2003-03-24 - What can I say??This remake floored me.While Mya and Missy could've easily been left off(Mya can't sing, and Miss is cool but she doesn't really contribute a worthy amount to the song), this remake is incredible.The production is phenomenal, this is one of the best dance songs I've heard in recent memory.I can honestly say that this did the older vesion much justice,Christina makes the song, and Pink adds harmony and edges things up.It's an incredible remake that does not get old quickly either(I still love it)!!
