What if the government established a clandestine organization to rid the world of evil-doers? What if the spies recruited for this covert organization were multitalented convicted felons played by Natasha Henstridge (Commander In Chief), Kristen Miller, and Natashia Williams? What if there were no rhetorical questions in the world? Hard to imagine? Meet the felonious femmes fatale of "She Spies".

Description of She Spies - The Complete First Season:
Campy, earnest, and (at times) funny, She Spies: The Complete First Season is more VIP and Charlie's Angels (with a little classic Batman thrown in) than Alias or La Femme Nikita. Showcasing the considerable physical charms of Natasha Henstridge, Kristen Miller, and Natashia Williams, who portray recovering criminals turned sexy she-spies Cassie, D.D., and Shane, respectively, the whodunit series offers a tongue-in-cheek alternative to hardcore crime-solving shows.

She Spies debuted on NBC in 2002. After three episodes, the series went into syndication and did well enough to nab a second full season. But whether they're waxing euphoric about the current state of affairs or the improbable plausibility of their own show, the women exhibit pluck and fairly decent comedic timing. Henstridge, best known for her femme fatale roles, is surprisingly funny, especially when mocking her own sex-symbol image.

Plot isn't a huge deal in any of the 20 episodes included on this four-disc set. In the pilot episode, for instance, no one questions why a talk show hosted by a former politician is run by his campaign manager rather than a professional television producer. The plotline is only slightly more integral when it can get one of the spies into lingerie or other skimpy clothing. Never mind that not one of the three spies looks like she could effectively execute a roundhouse kick to the enemy. The fact is, they all look fabulous nabbing the bad guys without breaking a nail or into a nasty sweat. And sometimes, that's what it's really about. --Jae-Ha Kim

She Spies - The Complete First Season Reviews:
I liked but... 3 Star Review
2009-08-31 - Well, I'm from Brasil and speak english, but I really though that would have legends in the DVDs... Here in Brasil passed every episode that I could see in the box, so it wasn't everything I though it would be... But I liked the same way...

The Charlie's Angels Redux 3 Star Review
2009-03-31 - "She Spies" was a short-lived,campy TV series with Natasha Henstridge in the lead. Like Charlie's Angels,it's about a trio of glamorous female spies. The show is at once campy and unconsciously so. The girls squabble, they look like supermodels. There's plenty of action and in-jokes. It's wonderfully bad. It's a good diversion. Not as archetypal as Charlie's Angels with the iconic Farrah Fawcett, but it's good dumb fun.

Loved the series, watched them when I was younger. 5 Star Review
2008-05-29 - This television series is classic 1990's and fits in with all the other tv shows from then like nash bridges and so on... It is fun to watch. The episodes are clean and safe to watch with the whole family. It is charming and funny and keeps your attention. I only wish the She Spies lasted longer.

Very funny and entertaining 3 Star Review
2008-02-13 - This was quite the funny action show. I spent many a late night watching this show when there was nothing on TV (at 1 AM, time which it aired where I live) and enjoyed it quite a lot. The situations, the characters and the dialogue are all funny in this Charlie's Angels-type show. It has pretty good action and decent fight scenes, as well as some pretty cool, but of course "out there", storylines. Watch it for the fun episodes.

Refreshing and smart 5 Star Review
2007-07-03 - People who keep comparing this show to Charlie's Angels is missing the point. That this show has three beautiful women acting as "spy" heroines is where the similarity kind of ends. This show has plenty of smartly-written, witty, and fresh comedic material to stand on its own. The eye-candies are just very nice bonuses. There was a time when this was one of the very few shows that I actually looked forward to relaxing myself and watching during the week. It is light-hearted, funny, and never takes itself too seriously. I am very glad the DVD is finally out -- this fan has waited for years!
