Neil Young - Red Rocks Live / Friends + Relatives (DVD) Reviews:
Neil Young - Red Rocks Live
2009-05-28 - This DVD is a treat for Neil Young fans. The concert was threatened by storms, but Neil keeps playing through the cold wind and rain. The playlist is excellent and his sister performs as a back-up singer along with his wife. Neil puts on a solid show with his hair often flying in the howling wind... very cool performance.
Red Rocks
2008-04-13 - I really enjoyed this concert at Red Rocks and was happpy that it included many songs not so much in the main stream. Especially enjoyed Neil rocking out for the encore; a nice redention of Cinnamon Girl. I highly recommend this DVD to any Neil Young fan.
Great Performace, Very Short on Audio Quality
2008-02-21 - I liked the song set and overall concert performace, however, the audio sounded like an eight track and a bad pair of car speakers. If you are wanting a good concert visual with no wasted crowd shots then add this to your library. If you can't stand muffled audio, look for something else by Neil like the Heart of Gold DVD. --- My opinion, and like a nose, everyone has one.
Neil Young Rocks at Red Rocks
2007-05-19 - I am a longtime fan of Neil Young and have watched many videos of his concerts. This one is definitely the best. The location, the music, and even the weather, combine for an outstanding concert.
Worst video quality ever!
2005-08-01 - Respectable audio quality but absolutely crude video images. If you are looking at anything better than a 27" CRT you will be unhappy.
Considering how outspoken Neil Young is about digital audio quality shortcomings perhaps the man should concentrate a bit on the video productions that have his name on it - I will use this DVD professionally to show just how bad DVDs can be.
