Editorial Review:
Part One of Two. First CD single pulled from Janet's 2006 album 20 Y.O. Featuring the Grammy Award winning St. Louis Hip Hop star Nelly, 'Call On Me' echoes all the old school charm and laid back feel of classic Janet. Features two versions of 'Call On Me': Album Mix and Full Phatt Radio Mix. Virgin.

Call on Me Reviews:
Don't Loose The Feeling ~ Make Your Move! 5 Star Review
2009-09-29 - The single is off Janet Jackson's album titled, 20 Y.O.. The album cover sets the mood of what to expect. It's about not feeling alone but completely bare to your ultimate object of affection. Although, there are many excellent dance tracks that she could have used as her first single, she chose the softer, more sensual R&B one to bring about more romance.

The Album Mix has a mellow, relaxing, dance bounce rhythmic effect bringing much bass, R&B, and great vocals by both Nelly and Janet. It accentuates the romantic styles of feeling relaxed, and ready to unwind alone or with another.

While both the Album Mix and the Extended Album Mix sound similar, the Extended Album Mix has over 5 minutes vs. the 3 + minutes of the regular. Aside the extra minutes, there are a bit more bouncy dance additions as well as instruments to intensify the feeling and set the mood right.

The Album Instrumental has no vocals causing more booming sensations as well as marking the beats intensely to get the feeling on strong. For those who like to sing, this would be a great song to take the initiative. Otherwise, feel ready for love, light some candles, and unwind with that *special* someone. If alone, fantasize, *imagine* and feel it.

Janet Jackson is about feeling good, being happy, unwinding, and most of all setting positive vibes with soft seductive undertones never too suggestive nor trashy yet just right to feel brand new!

Welcome return from Janet 5 Star Review
2007-07-17 - I heard "Call On Me" on the radio and loved it. It was a different direction for Janet, having more of an urban feel to it. When I heard Janet was going to work with Jermaine Dupri I was a little scared because I'm used to having her work with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis who gave her the signature Janet sound we all know and love. Thankfully it captures the Janet sound that we like but gave it a new urban edge. Nelly sounds great in this song too. There is good chemisty between the two artists. "Call On Me" is part of the amazing "20 YO" which is one of Janet's best albums yet. I highly reccomend this CD-single if you like Janet.

Nice groove! 5 Star Review
2007-07-03 - This is a nice mid-tempo jam from Miss Janet. My only complaint with this CD single is that Tony Moran house remix was not included. This track hit #25 on the Hot 100 and #1 on the R&B Chart.

Janet & Nelly in Japan! Oooo Baby! 4 Star Review
2007-04-11 - Ok, I'm on the late freight! But Janet & Nelly gets my full undivided attention where-ever I am in this world! I am shoppping in a cute little tourist pier shop in Japan, I hear a jam with Janet's voice and I ask my 13 y.o. Is that JJ AND Nelly? She shrugs--"I dunno, Mom!" I ask the Japanese cashier who barely speaks English, she too gives me the "I dunno shoulder shrug." I listened rocking and and I was like, "Why was this jam not a hit!" We ran home found the video and have been rocking this on repeat all weekend and this week! My only complaint If JD was not on the scene, "in the picture" Janet and Nelly could have really gotten busy in the video, way too polite and "nice" knowing how they both individually can bring the heat! JD caused an artistic lockdown for the video for sure! I still saw and felt chemistry--nice match. Janet never got the props she should have for working her tail off to the bone in Pleasure Principle--the video and the same with this jam, the cut--way under-rated or at least under played! Question of the day--Will Janet ever show some leg? With Nelly "Any time, Any place".... Baby, "Come on...let it go!" Love it, love it, love "Call on Me! And so does my 13 Y.O. BTW Daughter and mom are 38 years apart---goes to show you who is the boogie down productions in the house!

Oh Janet! 1 Star Review
2007-01-03 - I Love Janet Jackson! BUT, these past few years of releases have been disappointing for me. When I was reading all the hype over her new *20* CD I was stoked! I was hoping that she would put out a Fab new CD so I could break out all my Janet Cd's and have my own private party! It came out, I rushed to buy it and the first single *Call On Me*. I was in SHOCK! It was HORRIBLE! I was so disappointed. Now I'm looking forward to her brothers new CD!
