Editorial Review:
Sweatsuit's back y'all, and with a vengeance. This new re-release takes all the hits from Sweat and Suit, adding three more songs and loading it onto one disk. This multi-talented, multi-platinum rapper, actor, entrepreneur, and cultural icon has been on the music scene for a short time but has made a huge impact. With over 25 million albums sold and three Grammys, he's recently started his own label (Derrty Ent.) and signed a multi-year contract with Reebok that will include his own sneaker and apparel line. Sweatsuit features the bangers "Flap Your Wings, "My Place" and "Over & Over" plus the three new singles: "Tired", "Nasty Girl" (feat. Diddy, Biggie, and Jagged Edge), and the radio heater "Grillz" (feat. Paul Wall, Ali & Gipp). In addition to that, look out for the emerging hit "Fly Away".
Sweatsuit Reviews:
The Best
2006-09-12 - I love this CD. Out of all his music that I own this is my favorite. Great diversity of songs. Really shows what he can do. I don't know how you couldn't like it if you like Nelly.
WTF????????
2006-07-01 - Peep how shorty below me compares Nelly to Shakespear. If Shake wrote lines like " andale andale mami eeyah eeyah, uh ohhhhhhhh!" He probably would have been stoned on sight and burned on the stake. This is laughable. Everything is wrong with this dude let alone the album. First off hip hop and country should never intermingle for any reason. Period. Nelly disrespected the whole hip hop culture by commiting this unforgiveable sin. What little bit of respect I might have had for him is gone. And I still scratch my head when I hear a Nelly fan say he ate KRS ONE. How exactly? By calling him an old man. KRS can out rhyme this corporate fuppet with alzheimers. This album should be burned together with Nelly and all his followers.
A Must Have for the Poet Laureate
2006-04-30 - I just bought this CD and I can't help but give Mr. Nelly the highest accolades. Though the content therein is all superb I have to say that Grillz is really the reason I purchased this fine lyrical work. His concise and hard-hitting plethora of knowledge for life in an urban low-income housing area is second to none. Likewise his diction and command of higher level grammar is commendable to the level of Pulitzer. With lines like "The whole top is Diamond, and the bottom row is Gold," Nelly encapsulates the entire crux of the race relations paradigm. I wish to purpose that many generations hence this young man will be likened to Shakespeare or perhaps even Yeats for his translation of the human soul into music. I commend you Nelly, now if only we can get a CD with you rapping in iambic pentameter!!!!1!1!!
u wanna see me what??? re re tire re re retire
2006-04-16 - mayne how can yawll listen to diz man? nelly is one of da weakest/wackest nikkaz in da game period. i'm not gone lie grillz was str8 only because paul wall and big gipp was in it but otha than that nelly is a "TRL" rapper and needs to retire
"Combination"
2006-03-28 - This combines Nelly's successful Sweat and Suit albums to make Sweatsuit. There are great songs on here including Grillz. This is a great song and a very popular song. I recommend this CD to anyone who likes rap and hip-hop.
