Nickel Creek Reviews:
Nickel Creek is Great 5 Star Review
2009-12-09 - I really love this (Hybrid SACD!! I am not to much on reviews but feel I must say atleast a little something about Nickel Creeks Music. If you love BlueGrass then you will want this CD. It is just wonderfull (IMHO). To me, while still (Contemporary BlueGrass) it feels like it's for a modern world. Sorry if I am not very articulate with words other than to say just buy it. You wont be sorry. It's full of great lyrics, acoustic guitar, mandolin, voice's, and I am sure many other instruments. I haven't took even a moment to look at the credits for just sitting back and enjoying the music. You will Love it. Oh'Yea, The Audio is super fantastic across my PS3 60gb PCM'ed to a Marantz SR8002 Reciever across Klipsch RF-7's. Just had to give those units a plug.

Enjoy!!!!

I prefer this to their later style. 5 Star Review
2007-05-21 - I much prefer this CD over their later rock/blue grass fusion style. This earlier work is much cleaner and it really showcases their awesome musicianship and vocal talent. We use this music in our ballet class as well as Alison Krauss and Union Station. We found one of Nickle Creeks later CDs not as beautiful to listen too and not able to use for our dance classes. I think it is great that they decided to experiment and develop their style, but I much prefer this CD over all the rest.

Superb performance and recording 5 Star Review
2005-08-23 - I took interest in this recording because it was a multichannel SACD. After listening to a sample at Borders Books, I bought it and took it home. This group is extremely talented, and they let their skills speak for themselves. The 5.1 sound is very well done. I just finished listening to the high resolution stereo version of the album, and it doesn't carry the weight of the surround mix.

It's just plain beautiful music, something I was beginning to suspect died a long time ago. My only question now is when their newest album (Why Should the Fire Die) be released on SACD?

One of the best instrumental groups ever 5 Star Review
2004-11-13 - The instrumentals in this album of young people is absolutely amazing. The vocals are wonderful too, what awesome talent! They turn bluegrass into a whole new genre. I can listen to this album over and over and I am a "classic rocker".

They sing and play from the heart and it shows. If you have any kind of fondness for bluegrass you must buy this.

Great Record 5 Star Review
2003-08-20 - I love this CD! It's a mixture of Bluegrass and I'm not-sure-what, but the music is great, the musicians are great, and the recording is wonderful.
