TEEN SPIRIT: The Stories Behind Every Nirvana Song Reviews:
I love Kurt forever
2001-11-28 - I don't own the book because I don't think that a mere author of a book can tell me what Kurt was thinking or feeling when he wrote these songs. I know in my heart what Kurt was thinking and feeling. I love him. I probably will buy the book just because I collect everything Nirvana. So, if you're a true Nirvana fan -buy it but have your own interpretation.
Teen Spirit: The Stories Behind Every Nirvana Song
2001-06-06 - Was a decent read, but covered a lot of ground covered elsewhere. The meanings of the songs were more the author's interpretation, and it is questionable as to whether or not this is really the message the song was meant to convey. Okay, but not worth twelve bucks.
Great!
2001-05-24 - Great picures, doesn't have ALL songs, but almost all. Very good buy though.
true
1999-10-18 - any true nirvana fan doesnt need this book becuase i personally understand exactly what kurt is saying and surely dont need a book to tell me!
but do to the fact that i collect nirvana stuff i have it, and have not read it though!
Great but could be better
1999-07-08 - Well this book was great but really could have been better. The stories were almost all true but some lacked some. Like the story behind the Vaselines song "Jesus Dosn't Want Me For A Sunbeam" spent the whole time elaberating on Kurts love for the Vaselines and many other bands but failed to mention that the song is a rendition of a Mormon hymn "Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam" I fully enjoyed the story for Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle though. Its a must get book but use you have to realize that there is no way that it is completely accurate. The pics are great though.
