2000-01-07 - THIS IS SOOO COOL! NIRVANA ROCKS!
The book kicks ass, but the CD is not the best. 
1998-11-23 - When you buy all the singles, all the albums, and all the bootlegs, you want something more, right? Well this book has the FULL history of the band-from 1985 to 1994. It talks about how the Melvins inspired Kurt, introduced him to Krist, and even talked about guys like Jason Everyman and Chad Channing. It goes through all the hard times before Nevermind broke through. It tells the expectations of Nevermind by Geffen records before all hell broke loose! (they thought it would MAYBE sell 30,000 to 50,000, if that!)It goes through how Dave got hooked up with them, how MTV played a big role, the two Reading Festivals they played. It told about How Kurt and Courtney met, got married, and had Francis. The big sell-out question was addressed and how Krist and Kurt responded to it. Did you know that Dave didn't think that they were a real great band, but said that they were "just another f*cking band!" And when you think thats it, think again! It goes through all of Kurt's health problems, writing IN Utero, Why Chris changed his name to Krist, the true meaning of the song, Polly, and a hell of a lot more! Plus, there is a FULL timelne, complete discography (not only the U.S. stuff, but also the U.K. stuff, too!) If you want to know the FULL story about the greatest rock band of the decade, then you absolutly NEED this packet. OH, the only reason why I gave it 4 stars, was because the interview CD with the remaining band members is very cheap quality. you can't hear the voices very well, and when you do, it's pretty fuzzy. But the 130 page booklet gives any hard-core Nirvana fan ALL the info about them.
