Nirvana fan reaches nirvana
2009-12-17 - Nirvana at their best. The DVD is the best part of this package. The CD is excellent for the concert on the go, but of course, nothing beats the visual and audio for truly enjoying a concert. Not to mention, a few parts because of practicality were left off the CD which were part of the DVD.

As I watched the show, I found myself swept up by the pure energy that is Nirvana. Unfortunately, I never got to see them live. This DVD is what I have been waiting for: an opportunity to see Nirvana live. And it is so good, that I really felt like I was sitting in a luxury box off stage from the band enjoying the concert as if I were there in the flesh.

The energy is incredible. I was drumming on my floor right from the start and continued right up until the end.

This DVD / CD package is absolutely worth every penny. Especially if you never got to see this incredible band live. With this recording, now you can.

Singular Moment In Time...Essential For Every Music Fan.
2009-12-09 - I never saw this release coming, as I'm not the biggest Nirvana fan. But I picked it up on a lark, and it is mindblowing.

This was captured when Kurt and the boys were at the absolute peak of their game -- a game that they were not destined to play for very long. That said, there is a quality to LIVE AT READING which puts it on some seriously hallowed musical ground...a musical moment for the ages which we are blessed enough to have an audio AND video souvenir from. Nirvana, indeed.

Raw, energetic, important!!!!
2009-12-02 - This DVD/CD set is a must for any music fan, not just of Nirvana or even the grunge era. Tracks from In Utero in their embryonic stage (pun intended), lyrics not yet in place and an odd, actually up-beat bass line on All Apologies. Tourettes ("the eagle has landed") is the same version on Live from the muddy banks of Wishkah. As a Nirvana fan I once again enjoy "Smells Like Teen Spirit" because on this DVD you witnessed the band before the song alienates even them. As expected you can witness the devistation of all musical equipment on stage for the "climax" if you will. The CD is good, but the DVD is excellent. After the credits on the DVD you get a behind the sceens look @ Kurt Cobain with a young fan which was touching to see.

2009-12-01 - The DVD was incredible, it was great to see Nirvana in concert since I missed the chance as a teen......the CD is just as good......this set friggin rocks!!!!!

2009-11-29 - Way overdue. At last a chance to see Nirvana at one of their best moments in time. Recommended for any Nirvana or lover of rock music. Kurt breaks the mold with wigs, dresses, and lyrics. Another John Lennon if there was one. I am sure Kurt copied him.
