UK exclusive single release is b/w two non-LP tracks, 'I'll Be Your Baby Tonight (Rare Studio Version)' & 'Ruler Of My Heart (w/ the Dirty Dozen Brass Band)'. 'Feelin' The Same Way' is a breezy pop/jazz confection on which brushed cymbals rub shoulders with gracefully plucked guitars. It's heartening that an artist who is neither a self-conscious Garage rock parody or fatuous pop nonentity can still sell a bucket load of albums. EMI/Blue Note UK 2002.

TOO SHORT FOR THE BUCKS
2005-09-09 - I was disappointed when I found only 3 tracks on the CD. Three songs, as great as Norah is, is not worth the $11.99 plus shipping. If I knew how I would ask for a refund because the discription of the CD was not specific on track number

A Beautifully Written And Softly-Sung Gem From Miss Jones!
2004-05-23 - There aren't many musicians who can release a debut album and go on to become of the biggest superstars of the past decade in the space of a year. Norah Jones is clearly an exception to the rule. Her debut album "Come Away With Me" was released in the spring of 2002 and went no where for about a year. Few critics even knew it was on shelves and only a handful of music industry insiders knew her name. This all changed when the hype began to build and in February 2004, Norah Jones picked up a staggering 8 Grammy awards for the album - a record for a female artist. Suddenly Norah was big news and the album gradually ascended to the No.1 spot all over the world; suddenly jazz was cool; suddenly America had a new idol; suddenly, people began to wonder how such a young lady could make such simple music and break all the records and rules...

The album has since topped the charts in both the US and UK and just been certified for US sales of 9 million copies. Worldwide sales stand at 18 million and despite this success, Norah has many critics. Some can't believe her international fame and believe her as nothing more than a jazz/country wannabe with hardly anything to show for it. How wrong they are! Norah's voice is amazingly powerful and extremely soulful. She's chilled out and cool and people can listen to her music easily which is why she appeals to a phenomenally vast market. She also happens to be stunning in appearance, and that always helps. Come Away With Me is now a classic in modern music, a landmark of the times and is still going strong selling hundreds of thousands of copies around the world, with no sign of slowing down!

The third single to be taken from Come Away With Me was the positive, fresh and upbeat "Feelin' The Same Way." As perhaps the most fast-paced song on the album, it made great sense to release this song as a single to show to the public not only Norah's vocal diversity, but her ability to make endlessly simple songs that make a significant impact. The song opens with a mid-tempo beat and soft drums and gentle guitar, before Norah starts singing the first verse, "The sun just slipped its note below my door. And I can't hide beneath my sheets. I've read the words before so now I know. The time has come again for me." Norah then sings the fantastic chorus where her vocals rise and fall, "And I'm feelin' the same way all over again. Feelin' the same way all over again. Singin' the same lines all over again. No matter how much I pretend." Norah then moves into the second verse swiftly as she wails, "Another day that I can't find my head. My feet don't look like they're my own. I'll try and find the floor below the stand. And I hope I reach it once again."

Norah then sings the chorus once more, before a gorgeous instrumental takes over. Norah then sings, "So many times I wonder where I've gone. And how I found my way back in. I look around awhile for something lost. Maybe I'll find it in the end." Norah then sings the chorus a few more times and the song gradually fades out to the end. I'm not quite sure if a video was made for this song because I haven't seen one of yet and this song was released more than a year ago! It doesn't matter either way because this is a truly fabulous song that raises my spirits when I'm down and Norah's vocals play a big part in this. Buy this now, you'll love it if you haven't heard it already!
