Editorial Review:
NCIS: The Official TV Soundtrack Vol. 2 is a specially produced soundtrack for the most-watched show on television: NCIS. This album features brand new and previously unreleased tracks from some of music's most popular artists including Bob Dylan, Norah Jones, John Mellencamp, Sheryl Crow, Joss Stone, Sick Puppies, Saosin and Sharon Little that are available exclusively on this soundtrack.

To coincide with the album's release date, the November 3rd episode of NCIS will prominently feature Bob Dylan's ''California,'' a never-before-released track that originally dates from the Bringing It All Back Home sessions and has remained locked in the vaults until now. The remaining tracks will be placed in NCIS episodes throughout the current season, which ends in May 2010.

The soundtrack also features a brand new song from NCIS star Michael Weatherly (Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo), ''Bitter And Blue,'' that was recorded especially for this soundtrack. The album also features Otis Redding's ''I've Got Dreams To Remember'' and Tom Lehrer's ''The Elements'' that were both featured in previous episodes of NCIS and were suggested by the show's fans in a poll conducted through the ncismusic.com website.

NCIS airs Tuesdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and is produced by Belisarius Productions in association with CBS Television Studios.

NCIS: The Official TV Soundtrack, Vol. 2 Reviews:
NCIS: The Official TV Soundtrack, Vol. 2 2 Star Review
2009-11-27 - Not as strong of a soundtrack as Volume 1. For the price there was not one song that stands out. Fans of Michael Weatherly will enjoy his performance, but if you are not already a fan, this will probably not make you start being one. Over all, they should have waited and released it with more artists. Even repeating a song or two from Volume 1 would have been better. Sadly, not up the the quality we have come to expect from NCIS.

NCIS soundtrack 5 Star Review
2009-11-04 - I LOVE NCIS!!! I also love this soundtrack. From the soundtrack, I ABSOLUTELY love "Bitter and Blue" by Michael Weatherly because of the beat and the music itself. In a nutshell, I just LOVE the show and its soundtracks.

Redefines Compilations 5 Star Review
2009-11-04 - Compilations are ahead of their time. Basically when we
fill our iPods, we're making our own compilations. This one is awesome. It
combines new artists (Keaton Simons, Sharon Little) with exactly the right
newish (Norah Jones) and vintage artists (Dylan). This song sequence is sheer
genius, and a nod of honor to the intelligence & taste of the viewers of the
NCIS franchise. Plus this will also be a gorgeous record for people who've never
seen the show. Usually soundtracks are "inside jokes". This one is
universal.

Great CD 5 Star Review
2009-11-03 - I have music by most of these artists. Joss Stone is good and I love the older songs. But I have to agree, the Michael Weatherly song " Bitten And Blue" is my total favorite! NCIS is on FIRE and they keep coming with the hits! Can't wait to see what they do next!

NCIS: The Official TV Soundtrack Vol. 2 5 Star Review
2009-11-03 - I like several of the artists on this soundtrack, however, I must say that Michael Weatherly's song "Bitter and Blue" stands out as my favorite for volume 2 just as Cote De Pablo's "Temptation" is my favorite from volume 1. The music for this show continues to amaze me as does the outside talents of the actors and actresses that may not have been known before these soundtracks came out.
