It's Gonna Be Me Reviews:
*NSync's "Gonna Be" in for a long time!
2001-10-23 - I have the songs from this LP on an import single, but I purchased this item just to have them on a record. I haven't opened the LP and I don't intend to. Since I know what the songs sound like, I'm waiting for the LP to become a collector's item (even though I'll never sell it). *NSync is simply awesome. They harmonize beautifully (with the voices of angels, tinged with "dirty pop"), dance divinely, and always look soooo sexy! And since they're 2nd only to themselves (in terms of record sales), I predict "It's Gonna Be" them at the top for many more years to come! Keep the hits comin' guys!
Their finest single
2000-07-19 - The second single from N'Sync's sophomore album is perhaps the catchiest boy-band single of all of 2000. Drawing upon their innate talent of merging a good pop tune with a dance beat thats infectious, the boys have created what I would call the ultimate pop single. It doesnt get poppier that this, for sure. While their first single off `No Strings attached' was a modest hit on radio, this single earned far more airplay, and deservedly so. Lead vocals on the track are by Justin and JC, though the `Me' in the song belongs to Justin. The video, which sees the lads in top form, is also a departure from the normal boyband dance video routine. In `Bye Bye Bye' they were puppets on strings, and here, they are figure dolls in the supermarket. Very creative indeed. However, the remix versions of the single aren't as good as one would expect. Thats why my review says 3 stars, if you're wondering.
This single was first performed at the MTV Movie awards in early 2000 and landed straight into the Billboard Top 10 a week later. Listen to it. In terms of both creative artistry (cheesy as it may be) and as a dance single, it breaks new ground. Certainly one of the best singles of the year, and eminently purchasable!
its as good as it looks on the cover!
2000-07-19 - if you want to buy this cd, buy it in a store so you can see the cover. only buy stuff online if you know what it looks like. but i really must thank fumanskeeto to no end for doing the cover of this single. oh yeah, the music is really good and everything but the real reason to buy this cd is the cover. ok maybe not, but i just think the cover is the best part about it. nsync has great music, and the remix is catchy and everything. IGBM is a great song, so if you want a great single all in all, buy this single. its got the artwork, the catchy song you find yourself singing in traffic, and the remix is just as good as the original song!
Very Catchy, This Song...
2000-07-18 - I don't own a lot of pop albums. In fact, I only own BSB's debut album (which is pretty decent). This is because of all the inflated hype and unending criticism that goes around about the pop business. But when I heard "It's Gonna Be Me" for the first time, I had to get the single. It's very singable. The remix is oookay, but it's not my style. Even if you don't like the Fab 5, this song's worth your two bucks.
EXCELLENT!
2000-07-13 - This is a fantastic song -- so catchy, so singable and OF COURSE really danceable! But buy the whole CD, not just the single, since each and every track is worth repeating time and again. Even if you've never been a fan of these five guys, give this a listen.
I was never a fan before NO STRINGS ATTACHED came out, and now I'm so hooked that I drove 500 miles round trip from my hometown just to see Nsync perform live in concert! The show was worth every minute in traffic!
I hope they outlast the other boy bands that don't stand a chance (and I'm NOT referring to the Backstreet Boys because I think they are dynamite too!)
Thanks Lance, JC, Joey, Justin and Chris. You're more than just good looks and great dance moves -- you have real talent!
