Black Sabbath. (Ozzy Osbourne). Reviews: Tony Iommi told me what he thought, "It's alright, I guess." 2000-05-27 - When I read the book I really enjoyed it. But it is based more on just facts that most hard core fans already know! There are things that are mentioned that went on behind the scenes, but not enough as I would like. I'm sure that it is the best book out on Sabbath. To me, I want more and it is easy enough to top this book. But until someone writes another, this one will remain the best. I was backstage in 1992 and someone walked up to Tony and asked him to sign this book. I butted in and asked Tony (I was already talkin' to him) if he had read this book? He replied,"I think so." Then I said,"It's a great book." And then he said,"I think I remember reading it, it's alright." When he said IT'S ALRIGHT he had a tone in his voice like he didn't approve of it. I told him that, I liked the story about his girlfriend giving him ex-lax and nailing the bathroom doors shut backstage." He told me,"I seem to remember that, didn't that happen to Ozzy." So did this really happen? Or was Tony tryin' to deny it? Was it to many years ago? Was it a blown up story? ? I wonder? Steve Lunay, I have met all the Sabbath guys and over again, I'm lucky, I feel. Hi, Joe Siegler! Bye.
Totally awesome book! 1999-10-13 - I read this book years and years ago originally. It's an awesome book on Black Sabbath. It covers up to the Born Again tour with Ian Gillan, as that's about when it was written. If you can find this, get it. It's well worth it.
