Paris Reviews: A Limited Edition? Please dont waste over twenty bucks on this nonsense 2008-01-30 - I thought it was bad enough that Warner Brothers signed Paris Hilton. What is even shocking is they have released a limited edition of this garbage, and it cost close to thirty dollars. Are you kidding me. Let me just lay it on the line. Paris cannot sing. Her voice is run through a voice processor, and then the album is remixed to high heaven to get her to actually sound decent. I saw a tape of her at a karoke. She couldnt hit one note of the the song she was trying to sign. It was god-awful. I understand that record companies try to pick up on icons of pop-culture. They did it with Bruce Willis and Don Johnson when they were big. But once those albums flopped, they just vanished. But still I ask, A Limited Edition???? And the music industry stratches its head and wonders why CD sales are down tremediously, and sinking every year. Hmmmmmm, Its not because of illegal file sharing, its because of nonsense like this, and the fact that you can download songs for a dollar each. At least years ago, you were forced in paying at least four bucks for the single, or at worst you just bought the whole album. Jeers to Warner Brothers and to Paris for robbing you of your money.
Paris is pretty good! 2007-05-06 - Like some of the reviews below, I think its unfair that people give Paris bad reviews because they "hate" her. They are jealous of her and then have this mindset that she's going to "suck" so when they hear her music, they automatically say it sucks.
If you actually listen to some of the songs in her album, it's awesome. I love "nothing in this world" and "turn it up" the best. Some of the other songs DO takes a little while to like but overall, Paris isn't that bad. She deserves a 4 out of 5.
I never expected Paris Hilton to release such a great album. 2007-02-14 - Some people gave a bad review to this album just because they hate Paris Hilton. I understand them in some way because Paris Hilton in person is not that easy to get along to but this self titled album proves that she can really be a good artist. She may not have a great voice like Mariah Carey or Christina Aguilera but her songs are fun and they got a really good lyric and YES they make cense.
This is my review for the songs
1. Turn It Up - 4.5/5 The second single. Really good song
2. Fightin' Over Me - 1/5 Worst song in the album. This song makes me understand why people hate her sometimes.
3. Stars Are Blind - 4.5/5 The first single. Great song and nice lyric.
4. I Want You - 5/5 It was rumored to be the fourth single BUT since the album it's not selling that much it is likely that it won't be released.
5. Jealousy - 5/5 One of the best songs in the album. Love the lyric, if you know about Paris Hilton you will know who she is taking about in the song (trust me).
6. Heartbeat - 3/5 Well... this one is like a Britney pop bubblegum wannabe. It's not bad but it's not that good either.
7. Nothing in this world - 5/5 Her third single. Here in Puerto Rico this song was always on the radio. The song is very cool.
8. Screwed - 4.5/5 This song was going to be her first single but a remix was leaked on the internet and the plans were changed.
9. Not Leaving Without You - 4.5/5 It's very fun, makes you want to dance.
10. Turn You On - 4.5/5 Another song that makes me understand why they hate her but still I love it.
11. Do Ya Think I'm Sexy - 2.5/5 Her voice doesn't help her at all in this song. I never listen to this one.
Well in my opinion her debut album is far way better that I expected and I know that a lot of people have realized it. Paris Hilton may not be the best artist around but I hope that she will release new music years to come.
Haters Gonna Hate 2006-12-14 - I'm going to start off by saying that 95% of the people who gave this a bad review have not even listened to this album. For whatever reason they hate Paris and just decided that they wanted to show how pathetic they can be by throughing the negativity at what could be a huge hit.
I will be the first to admit Paris isnt the strongest vocalist but as shown on Stars are Blind she has a nice soft mellow sounding voice. I think vocally she is better than any performance Britney Or Jennifer Lopez have done.
This album has so many hot beats most notably are the tracks TURN IT UP & TURN YOU ON. Then she has the so cheesey its hot songs like NOTHING IN THIS WORLD & HEARTBEAT(which is my fave song on the album).
Ill also admit her lyrics arent the most dramatic and deep but this isnt that kind of album. This is a feel good go out and party album. No one ever said this was going to be inspirational or change the world, it's a fun album recorded by a fun girl who no matter what haters say has alot of talent. I respect the fact she is trying to earn her own money and not just live off of daddys money.
I love Paris and I love this album and if you people would give it a shot you would to.

My First Review - Paris Is Hot 2006-11-07 - I should say this up front. This is my first review. So I apologize if it doesn't make sense. Anyway, I like Paris and I was anticipating the album. But seeing as I'm pretty picky about music, I wasn't really sure what to expect. Here is my song-by-song review:
Turn It Up - I like this song. It's your basic fun, pop song. 8/10
Fightin' Over Me - This is my least favorite song on the album. I'm not a fan of hip-hop. This isn't my thing. 2/10
Stars Are Blind - This was obviously the first single. I'll admit that it took a few listens for me to like this song. But it did eventually grow on me. 6/10
I Want You - This is definitely the strangest song on the album. On the one hand it's a lot catchier than the others. But at the same time it's annoying because the theme of the song is taken directly from "Grease". I don't mind sampling bits of songs, but I think this song goes too far. Having said that though, it really is catchy. 9/10
Jealousy - This is probably the rockiest song on the album. It also seems to be a "message-song" meant for someone in particular. I like it. 7/10
Heartbeat - To be honest, I can't really remember anything about this song.
Nothing In This World - This is another very poppy song, and I love poppy songs. I also believe it's the upcoming single. 8/10
Screwed - This is a very tongue-in-cheek pop song. It's also very catchy. 8/10
Not Leaving Without You - This is my favorite song on the album. It's very upbeat, dancey and fun. 10/10
Turn You On - Unfortunately this is another song I don't remember.
Do Ya Think I'm Sexy - Considering this is a cover of the Rod Stewart classic, I was skeptical. But Paris did a good job. She left the song pretty much the way it was and added her mark to it. 8/10
Overall I really enjoy this album. As I said, I was a Paris fan before purchasing and I'm an even bigger Paris fan now.
