A love story of a man who is killed and comes back with the help of a spiritual advisor to solve his own murder and protect his lover. Studio: Paramount Home Video Release Date: 01/04/2005 Starring: Patrick Swayze Demi Moore Run time: 126 minutes Rating: Pg13 Director: Jerry Zucker

    Description of Ghost:
Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze are the passionate lovers whose romance is undone when the latter is murdered during a bungled hit arranged by a rival. The clever concept by screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin (director of My Life) extends outward into comedy (Swayze's character communicates through a sassy medium played by Whoopi Goldberg, who won an Oscar for this role), horror (the afterlife is populated by hell-bound demons and the like), and romantic complications (a handsome suitor, played by Tony Goldwyn, comes on to Moore while Swayze's spirit is still hanging around). Directed by Jerry Zucker, previously best known for codirecting Airplane! and similar broad comedies, Ghost is a careful balancing act of strong commercial elements, but at heart it is a timeless Hollywood tearjerker that easily gets under one's skin. --Tom Keogh

    Ghost 5 Star Review
    2009-12-05 -
I love the movie Ghost. However, not your fault, I seem to receive bad tapes as my DVD let me know. I replaced one and then I had to send back the replacement. I still intend to order this tape through you with a different party. Amazon has always been fair with me, I will continue to shop through your store.

    Thank you.

Blue Ray is good...........but not great. 2 Star Review
2009-12-04 - This classic stands up well. There are some nice additions to this BR-Disc such as interviews from the time the movie was made which are a little haunting when Patrick Swayze appears for his insight. So, the special features are enough to lure you in more about this movie and it 's background.

The Blue Ray transfer either could have been better or it was as good as it was going to get. The clarity is soft (but improved from the DVD version)and blacks are okay. The color match up well but are not instant by first notice. The audio is decent as well. So, if you are interested for Blue Ray reasons? It is a nice investment to your collection ongoing or just starting out.

But, I strongly suggest to first check out either [...] or Blue Ray Digest for a more well thought out review of this classic.

Swayze, Moore and Goldberg Exceptional 5 Star Review
2009-11-28 - After watching it again after a long time, I had forgot how good the movie is. All actors did an exceptional job, especially Whoopi. She certainly deserved the Oscar she won for her performance. It's a keeper.

among my favorites 4 Star Review
2009-11-24 - Great movie with a special cast. Patrick and Whoopi have special chemistry very rarely seen in movies.

    Ghost 5 Star Review
2009-11-17 - Who could ever forget the timeless performances of Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore in ths heartfelt DVD that reminds that love croses all sorts of barriers. Love from Both Sides: A True Story of Soul Survival and Sacred Sexuality
