COLD BLOOD is a psycho thriller love story of murder, horror and regret in the style of BLOOD SIMPLE.

Unable to cope with his wife's death, J.M. flees to his sister's desolate farm where he was married one year ago.

There, he finds himself haunted by memories and visions of his dead wife, Andrea.

However, J.M. slowly realizes that he is not alone. He is tormented by a new caretaker, some curious locals, and his wife's suspicious lover who is trying to unravel the mystery of Andrea's disappearance.

Blackmail, killing, betrayal, revenge, guiltÅ  J.M. soon discovers there's no place to hide from murder...

    Cold Blood Reviews:
Cold Blood leaves horror fans warm and fuzzy 4 Star Review
2008-04-27 - Seems as though I have a love for low budget cinema. Only when it's done right, and this one is. The atmosphere of this movie alone will keep you glued for the entire hour and twenty-three minutes.

A man by the name of J.M. comes home to find his wife having an affair. Out of one moment of anger he kills her. Of course not being able to handle what he had done, he leaves his home. He goes out to an old farm house where they had gotten married. To keep anyone from finding out his secret, he is pushed to do things he would have never thought possible.

Unfortunately I cant tell anymore about the story without giving too much away. I am impressed with yet another independent horror movie. The hauntingness of the film is unreal. The acting was well done, not all of the actors are great, but really what can we expect for low budget. The main character himself had a absurdly great way of making you feel sorry for him and liking him at the same time. The storyline is original, gripping and powerful. You can absolutely put yourself in his place, and wonder what you would have done. Could you love someone so much that within one second of rage your whole life was gone?

    Cold Blood 1 Star Review
2007-11-05 - This has got to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The acting is horrible and the plot is non-existant. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone!

Very good horror movie 5 Star Review
2007-02-18 - When I watched this movie I was totally captured by the way the story was told. I really liked this story and how it was told. This story is about when someone is so "totally" in love with someone, how far will they go. Even after death. It makes you stop and think about what you would do if you found your partner with someone else. I do recommend this movie to anyone that wants to see something close to real life but also taking it to the extreme.

    Awesome horror/thriller! 5 Star Review
2005-08-30 - I had a chance to see this film at a festival and was absolutely impressed by it. The characters are realistically portrayed, the tension is palpable, the film is beautifully shot on this spooky farm somewhere in the south. And the main character is the most likable and sympathetic serial killer you are likely to meet. All in all I would strongly advise people check this out if you want a tense supernatural thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time!

    CHILLY RECEPTION 2 Star Review
2004-07-29 - The credits for this film should tell you what kind of movie you're in for. Laurence Avenet-Bradley plays the doomed corpse and was also the cinematographer; Brian Avenet Bradley wrote and directed; John L. Altom plays John, the redneck and also is the horse wrangler and gaffer. Not that there's anything wrong in double dipping, but in this case, it shows.
While the direction is properly atmospheric at times, there's nothing new--you can see what's coming.
The movie opens with JM bashing his wife's head in with a baseball bat because he caught her with his best friend in bed. For some inexplicable reason, he wants to freeze her, hence the title. They've only been married for a year! Anyway, he puts her on ice and takes her to his sister's farm where their wedding took place. Boyfriend of course will follow later on. At the farm, JM puts his wife in a discarded freezer. He later meets John and his cousin Bud, and soon he encounters John's abused wife, Julie. John is the caretaker for the farm, but you know he's a slimeball. JM keeps having ghostly apparitions of his dead wife, and soon people start finding out what JM did, and so...no spoiler here.
Suffice to say, FREEZ'ER has the worst acting I've seen in some time. Barnes Walker III plays JM like a zombie, turning on his required emotions like a well worn faucet. Carrie Waldron as Julie is equally bad, reminiscent of a teenager in their first community theatre role; and John L. Altom is totally laughable in his role as John.
I'm all for indies, and have truly enjoyed some of them like ANGELS CREST and HOBBS END, but this movie is so bad it's funny, but not funny enough to recommend.
