Pink Floyd: Echoes (Pink Floyd) Reviews:
good stuff here 5 Star Review
2003-10-08 - obviously, pink floyd songs are not exactly meant for beginners since most of their songs just go on and on. before you get into this stuff you should have a good knowledge of the scales, and a lot of the weird techniques that david gilmour uses. or a photographic memory so you memorize what frets to hit, etc after only a couple tries. other than that, this is a great tab book. most of the songs seem to be accurate from what i can tell, and for the bits with a lot of keyboard or sax (like money) the authors were nice enough to go ahead and tab those out for guitar. so all you really need is a guitar for the whole book! convenient. its really convenient to have a mix of pink floyd songs instead of buying each tab book from their studio albums. definetely a must by for any intermediate or better guitar player who likes pink floyd songs.

Not quite flawless, but close enough. 4 Star Review
2003-06-30 - In a nutshell, this book is great for any guitar player looking to improve his/her playing ability using some of the best material.
That being said, my only major complaint, and any musician who can analyze music from a page will tell you, that when a song is played in an alternate tuning or with a capo, the notes on the staff are changed accordingly. This means that if your guitar has a capo at the 3rd and you hit the open E, the note will say E rather than G. To have the tab say "zero" makes sense, but it's confusing as all hell if you're doing a piano arrangement or something.
... If you have the Echoes CD (or all the albums from which to compile the songs for a mix) you'll be pleased to know the tunes are written in the same order, so you can play along easily.
I didn't really want to buy the individual album books, so this is a nice mix. I wish it had more of the acid-rock early stuff, though.
