Moon Revisited Reviews:
a strong but flawed effort 3 Star Review
2007-09-13 - Having listened to their albums and live recordings a zillion times, I'm always looking for fresh interpretations of Pink Floyd. A good tribute pays homage to the parent while simultaneously making the material fit a new environment. Most tributes phonographically copy the original band or fall embarrassingly short in the attempt. Both types are dull. "The Moon Revisited " falls into the first category. This "Dark Side of the Moon" tribute would easily earn an 'A' as a final exam at the end of band camp's Pink Floyd week. Outside of that, it has little value. That written, there is nothing wrong with this recording. The musicians perform well and the production is excellent. Unlike the Easy Star All-Stars that did a reggae tribute of the same album, this is just straight rock. The esteemed Australian Pink Floyd Show also plays literal versions, but it's a live experience. The Aussies appreciate the futility of making such an audio recording. The listener is better off passing this one by and enjoying the original.

'The Moon Revisited' - Pink Floyd Tribute (Magna Carta) 2 Star Review
2005-03-05 - Not that bad of a tribute CD,but as for myself,I'd REALLY prefer to listen to the actual Floyd lp.'The Moon Revisited' is basically nine different unknown artists that cover one track each of the famed 'Dark Side Of the Moon' album. If you're a major, and I do mean MAJOR Floyd nut,you may get more out of this CD than I did.The track "The Great Gig In The Sky" about had me nearly crying for mercy, the woman vocalist just goes on and on.... To put it another way,'The Moon...' is like a Pink Floyd cover band.Tunes like "Speak To Me","Brain Damage" and "Eclipse" are okay,at best.

Tribute with style 5 Star Review
2002-02-24 - This is a tribute to Floyds DSOTM. Having grown up with this music, collecting bootlegs and the whole thing, I found this tribute amazing in that it remains faithful to the Pink Floyds' and makes possable the best Floyd tribute that I have heard. I like it a Lot!
