Description of The Dark Side of the Moon:
Dark Side of the Moon, originally released in 1973, is one of those albums that is discovered anew by each generation of rock listeners. This complex, often psychedelic music works very well because Pink Floyd doesn't rush anything; the songs are mainly slow to mid-tempo, with attention paid throughout to musical texture and mood. The sound effects on songs like "On the Run," "Time" and especially "Money" (with sampled sounds of clinking coins and cash registers turned into rhythmic accompaniment) are impressive, especially when we remember that 1973 was before the advent of digital recording techniques. This is probably Pink Floyd's best-known work, and it's an excellent place to start if you're new to the band. --Genevieve Williams

The Dark Side of the Moon Reviews:
sexist behaviour 1 Star Review
2009-12-24 - The sixties were all about sexual liberation but this seedy cd (no pun intended!) is really taking it too far:

Breathe is about phone sex
Any collar you like about male domination
On the run is like Music from the body and should be retitled : See how my sperm flies!
Time is about impotence
Money is about Hookers
Us and them is about swingers
The great kick in the sky is about the seedy life with orgies
Brian Damage is about SM

I like sex but this simply isn't kosher!

This low quality MP3 makes my ears bleed 1 Star Review
2009-12-23 - I have this great 4-5 star album on vinyl pressed by Mobile Fidelity and the sound quality is simply fantastic!
The sound mix on this MP3 makes my ears bleed.
I paid $1.99 for this today "on sale" but the MP3 wasn't worth two cents.

Holy crap! Dark Side of the Moon for $1.99??!! 5 Star Review
2009-12-22 - Well, this album is basically one of the greatest albums ever made, and for $[...], you have no reason for not buying it. It's very rare that you see an album of this caliber on the "deal of the day." Get it while you can!

This is the ggreatest album of all time. 5 Star Review
2009-12-22 - I remember the first time I heard Dark Side of the Moon. I was eighteen and a buddy brought a copy over to sync with the Wizard of Oz (it works). The album is dark and gloomy, full of effects and strange noise, but under all the polish lies not only great music but great lyrics.

Anyone that doesn't own this all-time classic should go and buy it, or better download it from amazon.com.
