Editorial Review:
Australian pressing of the 2009 mini album from the fabulous female Pop quintet features four additional tracks over the EU six track edition ('Top Of The World', 'Halo', 'Bottle Pop' and 'Takin Over The World') plus replaces 'Whatcha Think About That' with 'I'm Done'. The Pussycat Dolls continue their reign as the biggest girl group on the planet--this time in miniature form. Doll Domination 2.0 is a 10 track mini album that includes massive hits from the original album ('When I Grow Up' and 'I Hate This Part'), three brand new tracks ('Hush Hush Hush Hush', 'Painted Windows' and the single 'Jai Ho!') and more. *Fun, Fast, Flares Of Funk*
2009-09-26 - The Pussycat Dolls may have departed from their cover songs to a certain degree but their beats are definitely fresh, fast, and up-beat! The highly energetic styles combined by the singing and sound make this an astonishing production never tiring nor boring. This has pop beats, disco hints, R&B blends and rap with heavy bouncy type along rhythmic blends definitely dance friendly and fun!
This is one mini-version as their are two available. The 6-track and this 10-track. The 6-track has no explicit lyrics, includes Missy Elliott's "Whatcha Think About That", but omits "Top Of The World" "Halo", "Bottle Pop featuring Snoop Dogg" "Takin' Over The World" and "I'm Done" found here. This has a much more array of picks and choices for those who prefer a taste of more!
All the songs have catchy hooks, great dancing elements, and much to enjoy. "Hush Hush; Hush Hush" has a bit of the song "I Will Survive" so it's a nice 80s disco track reminiscent of the 80s and first album PCD. Also quite catchy is "Jai Ho" (You Are My Destiny)" for the dance and Middle-Eastern Elements that are hinted with much bouncy beats. The Snoop Dogg song, "Bottle Pop" has heavy bass-lines, excellent rap, combined with catchy hooks, party ambiance and more! "Top Of The World" is also quite uplifting to get happy moods and great boosts of energy!
Overall, if you get bored easily, like fun dance music then this is for you! While the Pussycat Dolls are not the role models of society they have proven that they can sing, entertain and provide much music enjoyment. This is excellent and I highly recommend it for all types of music lovers!
