Evilspeak [Region 2] Reviews: Little gem from the 80's 2008-10-26 - I remember seeing this film when it first came out in the 80's and really loved it then. Seeing it again was a real blast from the past and it is every bit as good as I remember. Yes, the special effects are a bit dated when you compare them to the new breed, but the film has a certain charm and has aged very well indeed. Do yourself a favour and pick this up.
My Computer Said "Kill" (I Said All Right) 2008-10-06 - You loved them as Eaglebauer in Rock N' Roll High School and Night Court's Bull. You'll revile in horror as these thespian actors recreate themselves as the twin dynamos of satanic justice in Evilspeak!
With a much better command of murder pigs than in his earlier role as Eaglebauer, Clint Howard as Stanley Coopersmith really makes this movie in the climactic last fifteen minutes. Oh, it takes a long time to get there, but it's definitely worth it. A hovering, blood and soot smeared Clint Howard wielding a broadsword makes quite a stunning image and should be ensconced in the Hollywood iconography alongside that picture of Marlon Brando on the motorbike.
It's a bad B-movie! It's the kind of B-movie that gives B-movies everywhere a good name.
Classic Movie About That Evil Computer I Said I Would Never Get. 2008-09-28 - Yeah this was better today than when I was younger. This movie scared me so bad I said I would never full with computers. Well this time around I laughed through the whole thing. It was worth buying and looking back at how sensitive we can be when I was young.
Pure Classic
Enjoyable Sci-fi horror shocker! 2007-08-27 - Stanley Coopersmith (Clint Howard) is a lonely and misunderstood nerd at a Military school and is constantly picked on everyday by the local bullies. One day he is searching down in the cellar of the chapel and discovers some ancient material on dark magic and uses a personal computer for the powers of evil, he will soon get his revenge with the powers of hell.
Entertaining and gory Sci-fi horror thriller that plays as a cross between "War Games" and "The Omen" is a very interesting movie that combines genres together. It does have an original idea about technology and the occult and the acting isn't bad at all, there is R.G. Armstrong from "Children of the Corn" co-stars in it and there are scenes of graphic violence and gore especially all restored in this DVD version which was originally cut out to avoid an "X" rating. It's good bloody and devilish fun for anyone in the tradition of H.P. Lovecraft.
This DVD has a very good transfer and nice sound with a few good extras like audio commentary by the writer producer and director and Clint Howard, theatrical trailer and poster-and-still gallery.

Excellent movie out in DVD 2007-04-25 - I remember seeing this movie when it was out on VHS and loved it. I am very happy that I bought the DVD so I can watch it again and again. I loved this horror flick because it has it's scary moments and redeeming moments all in one movie. I guess everyone feels sorry for the guy being picked on and when it finally comes down to it, they got what they deserved. Take a chance and see this one. I recommend this movie highly to anyone that loves horror flicks from the 80s.
