So Good Reviews:
So Good
2006-07-05 - Many were saying it might do Rachel Stevens some good to return her sights to the dance floor after "Negotiate With Love" failed to stimulate much interest, and she'll conquer many a pop club with this pounding tune. It's not quite up to the brilliance of "Some Girls" or one of Girls Aloud's electro-savvy tracks, but "So Good" is relentlessly catchy and does a striking good job with what it was meant to do. Stevens' ice queen vocals are spot-on, that perfect mix of lady-done-wrong with subdued sex appeal. An army of blazing synths and throbbing grooves keep things moving, and really it's a fine piece of dance-pop. Plus it's got a video that will make you wish you owned a pair of pink vinyl gloves.
Credible pop music doesn't get any better, woth every penny of your money.
2005-12-29 - Possibly the best pop song to come out in years, and many credible sources such as the BBC would agree.
Taken from the critically acclaimed album 'Come And Get It', "So Good" is a electro-pop at it's best. The song peaked at #10 on the UK top40 singles chart but definately deserved the top spot without a doubt.
Rachel's vocals slide over the catchy bassline with lyrics such as "I made it on my own again" and "I'm gonna take back what is mine" only adding to the songs overall perfection.
Music seriously does not get much better than this, the only track that stands on the same level as this song in the pop world to come out in 2005 is Girls Aloud "Biology".
It Really Is So Good
2005-08-09 - Amazon has really confused me they've mixed up the CD tracklisting for the Both So Good CDs anyway So Good is the second single for rachel's forthcoming 2nd album which is to be released in October like her previous single negotiate with love So Good has an 80's electro theme but is a bit more dancier this single really shows off rachel's vocals with powerful lyrics such as (i'm gonna stand the test of time/ i'm gona take back what is mine) and (i'd like to watch you suffer ever so slightly/ you better watch your back you better beware) just like Sweet Dreams My L.A Ex and Negotiate With love, So Good is about getting over an ex boyfriend.
So Good is a real slice of pop prefection and if you agree with me then buy it.
"So Good" keeps the flow of excellent singles from Stevens pumping out!
2005-07-17 - "So Good" is the follow up single to her smash hit "Negotiate With Love" and this single may be actually better than the previous single! This song follows within the style of the '80s electro pop revival taking Europe by storm, but instead of Stevens following the crowd, she is the one that is leading it. The tune is similar to her previous tune as she is letting a guy know she is in control, but this song is one whereas anyone who may not have liked "Negotiate With Love" right a way, "So Good" is automatically deemed to be a hit. This track may even evoke some dancing around the room or singing in the bathroom, so be careful in public!
Whereas the remix to "Negotiate With Love" found on that single was okay, the remix for "So Good" is a lot better and the third track "Never Go Back" evokes thoughts of a James Bond or an Austin Powers movie, which is not a bad thing at all.
The video found on this single is also a lot better than the video for "Negotiate With Love" and I can see the purpose of the karaoke version of the video since this will probably be a song sung quite a bit at parties. But as the game on the previous single, it is not necessary.
Empowering, catchy, great beats and better singing with these last two singles all equals to a more mature, better sounding Rachel Stevens. This is one of the best singles she has released to date!
Rachel is in the mix with Single Six
2005-07-06 - Rachel has recently released her sixth solo single entitled "So Good." The song is pure pop and is very easy to dance to. This is her best single since "Some Girls" although it still is not as great as that song, she still comes up with another pop masterpiece and makes it her forth coming album even more anticipated. This particular version of the single has many extras on it like her previous single "Negotiate With Love"
Included on this CD:
1. So Good - The title track that has a electro-80's vibe to it that was originally intended for Kylie Minogue. But Rachel does indeed make it her own.
2. So Good (Aurora Vocal Mix) - Not anywhere near as good as the original, give it a chance and then skip it.
3. Never Go Back - Rachel's first co-written song to be released has a James Bond-ish sound to it, and is a grower like Negotiate With Love was. You may not like it at first but with a couple of listens it may grow on you.
4. So Good (Video) - The video that features the famous gloves is featured on here, it has a futuristic theme to it and some nice dance routines in it as well.
5. So Good (Karoke Video) - The video muted with the words at the bottom. Pointless really.
6. Game - A memory game where you have to remember the order lights appear. Simple but fun for a little while.
7. Ringtone - Probably wont work for US readers but if it does than you know what it will sound like.
Rachel suceeds once again in appealing to the dancers and pop appreciaters. Even if you don't like Rachel give this a listen Highly recommended.
