Pussy Reviews:
Lame Little Kitty of a Song 1 Star Review
2009-10-28 - For a group than can produce "classic" level material for them to fall back into something
as lame as this is beyond me. Come on Rammstein. You are better than this. Don't waste
your talent with "Pussy" and "Buch Dich" type material.

Such a relief 5 Star Review
2009-10-22 - After Rosenrot, I was a little nervous about the new album, Liebe ist für alle da. But after I heard this single, the new album suddenly became something to really look forward to. These songs are definitely new, but it sounds like Rammstein have gone back to their roots, and what made them great in the first place: intruiging lyrics and good music. The two songs "Pussy" and "Rammlied" sound more like they're from the Mutter era than post Rosenrot.

Pussy is similar to the song Amerika in the sense that if you speak English and not German, you might get the wrong idea because you don't get the whole picture, and you may not be familiar with the way Till writes his lyrics. If you don't speak German, translations might highly enhance this song for you. Consider it if you'd like.
Musically, it's definitely somehting that anyone can enjoy; it sounds great!

Rammlied is also a gem. It sounds as if it gets its roots from the song "Rammstein" off of Herzeleid. It put a new spin on an old classic, which resulted in something completely new.

As a preview to the new album, this single was great... while the album wasn't yet released. Now that it is out, there wouldn't be much reason to get this single for the music; both featured songs are on the new album. Collectability is the only thing exclusive to the single now.

Forget the others! 5 Star Review
2009-10-20 - Like I said before.... this song is the DEFINITION of Rammstein... the only difference is you can UNDERSTAND IT! Look up the lyrics to some of they're other songs why don't you!

Not like before, and not in a good way 1 Star Review
2009-10-20 - I've been a HUGE Rammstein fan since 1997 when Du Hast came out. I have every studio album they've ever released, and will have the new one very soon. However, the P**** single is ridiculous and terrible. It does not sound like the Rammstein I'm used to. Sure, trying something new is sometimes good, but they failed miserably here. And don't even get me started on the video for the single. It just doesn't seem like them to do this. I don't recommend the single, and will get the full length version of their new album soon, and will post a new review on that. While Rammlied was average/below average, it's light years ahead of P****, although it didn't wow me, really, either.

Awesome 5 Star Review
2009-10-20 - I'm trying to figure out why self proclaimed, "die-hard Rammstein fans" are trashing Pussy and Rammlied. The the lyrics and overall theme of Pussy are no more or no less explicit/suggestive than their other works. Bück dich, Weisses Fleisch, Kuss Mich (Fellfrosch), Mein Teil, Mann Gegan Mann, etc. Come on people, even if you don't know German, there are websites with excellent translations.

Now, about these songs: Both songs are very unique. They definitely take elements from their earlier works and incorporate them into these new releases.

Pussy is by far their best English/German song in my book. The electronics and guitars are amazing. They struck a good balance between both languages. Rammstein is trying to be controversial (as they like to do at times), and it seems like it is working. Sure, they don't hide behind any metaphors or creative language, but I think it's cool that they do something different and be blunt in their lyrcis.

Rammlied instantly reminds me of something that could have come out in Herzeleid or Sehnsucht - especially how they are chanting Rammstein like the self titled song in their first album. Excellent, excellent. I love how the song starts off quietly with eerie silence, faint chanting, soft intro, then explodes into guitars! Awesome.

If you are truly a Rammstein fan, this Single and the Album will be very enjoyable.
